Hello Cookie! Today is the 21st, Saturday 21st March of 2015 and I'm sending you this
little video clip about the garden, the one that you know here in Zing. Today it's quite
rainy and I will just take you for a short tour. I will also put this on YouTube as a
weekly update how we do things here in our little garden. So at first we have to clean
up stuff. This is all the mess that we found here from last year. This is new, it's our new
first or second greenhouse as you see the roof is missing but we organized these cool
sheets of transparent plastic like that. They are light enough to be mounted up there.
We will do this maybe today, maybe not. Here we got our two strawberries, that's the first,
second greenhouse. See this is already done. We put basilicone, fissiles, pepperoni, paprika,
I don't know how you call them in English right now, I'm too tired to think about it
and they're already, it's quite cold here so we decided to put them in the greenhouse.
There's a little bench so that you can sit on it.
Let's go on. This here has to be, has still to be cleaned up. It's a little chaotic, chaos is
good sometimes, sometimes not but it's a foundation for order. Then here's our fireplace.
You know it already, a lot of people come here and throw their cigarettes in it
but it's not too terrible. We have there a little storage for wood that can be burned.
It's kept dry. This here is weird wood, I guess we could burn it once it's dry. Somebody put a
little bench down there to the river Zeke. The Zeke is not flowing fast enough and there is no,
the difference of height is not enough for a special kind of pump. The name I forgot.
This tube we used for testing and we found out it's not working. So we have to go back
to our other pumping system. I guess you know that one already. Some, you know, making earth, some
more earth. That's the pumping system, the old one. We took it apart in the winter time
and then we found out that we had to repair stuff. This here goes inside and is pulled up and down
and this bright thing is a leather patch that has been fixed by, I call him Yasan.
He works at Klein Odium DE and he does leather works for LARP but he also fixes our stuff.
This is pretty cool because we solved the regional problem regionally obviously.
Before this leather patch was there there was some leather rubber
appliance. We hope that the leather, this one, will get wet, will soak up, get a little thicker
and then the pump is back at work. This is something that I will definitely do today.
Then, yeah, this has to be cleaned up too. We cut down on the number of these guys here
because we're not that many this year, about six and maybe some eight more persons in the
free time. These two with the straw above are from the daily daycare for children,
Kinatagestete. They will come here as soon as the weather gets better.
As you can see, we still have a little house with many, many tools with even more stuff to do stuff
with and a little playground for kids so they have fun while their parents work here and plan stuff.
This is Mr. Wirt again. Kreuterspüre alle. Sparrow for herbs. We have to beautify it too.
So there's stuff to do and I'm the first to be here so I will start on my own. Nevertheless,
I hope you had a little insight on what's the project here. Many greetings from Ziegen
and see you next week. Bye!
