OK, good evening and welcome to Broder's Park on this barme Tuesday, September evening
as we welcome our old foals Pearson Ashton to Broder's Park. Both teams tonight have
had a bit of an indifference start to say the least to the season and they'll be looking
to try and stamp their authority tonight I should imagine. Hopefully we can put a performance
in tonight. OK, so it's like FC will be kicking towards a light ball not a road end in the
first half. I probably wish we would have liked by choice with Pearson Ashton having
a kickoff. Let's hope for a good performance from FC today Josh. Well yeah I think Wynne
is obviously it's an obvious thing to say. We desperately need to pick up three points
here. The team that's probably going to be in the round has come April so I think you've
got to take advantage of that and get three points up on him now. One thing we didn't
do all our season was beat the teams around us. No doubt I should imagine they're going
to be looking for Luke Ashworth's head. There was a decent number of FC players in there
I think. So the corner comes in, Luke Ashworth is on the end of it and it drinks through
to the goalie. Not a bad delivery that pushes the ball out to Wynne back. Yeah I think they
played 3-5-2 but it's something we have to watch out for is that you know Harry Wintoury
and it's with a snap shot. Corner for FC United. It took off the tone, Wynne is going to have
a lash at it and a lash it was. Ball falls out to Hooper back out to George Thompson with
the ball across and it's going. How did it stay out? And a great ball in by George Thompson.
The ball is picked up by Dale Johnson, takes a second to control. It hits it straight at
a goalkeeper and it comes off the goalkeeper's midriff and hits the stanchion of the crossbar
and the post. The referee didn't see well and that's what matters. That's a good ball
out there to Hooper. Hooper is going to have a look at putting this in the box, puts it
back out to Williams and cleared again again by Kersen after Wynne is going to lay it up
for a shot, lays the ball into Johnson, that's a good ball. How did that go Wynne? Chantler
picks up the loose ball from Johnson, comes back off the post and into the arms of the
goalkeeper. That's quite an incredible bit of play there. It's another fantastic move
to the FC. So in the last couple of minutes with it both posts in the crossbar. Okay,
Kersen corner comes in and it's well defended on the post, the ball comes back in and again
it's a good tackle by Scott Key. And that's a good header but this is a lot better by
FC United in the second half. A little bit of pressure on. Kersen after they get it
again but that's a very good effort. Not a bad effort at all, I think that's just skim
the crossbar as it's going to 20 minutes into the second half. That's a good header
by Ashwick again. Scott Key will whip one in. No, he's going to leave it to Chris
Chantler. No, he's not. It's a ball on the blindside, Chris Chantler. That's a great
ball and that's a handball. That's a handball. I didn't really see much there. That was a
great ball in by Chantler which was met by Jason Gilchrist. Another great save from
the goalkeeper. 18 shots at goal tonight. And there's a final whistle. Indifferent performance
by FC, very defensive and sort of cagey in the first half but they did come out in the
second half a lot better. And you know, their keeper done well in the second half. A few
points like safe. Here's a national, we'll be happy with a 0-0. I think FC United will
be a little disappointed that they didn't come away with all three points but both teams
have a big game on Saturday, Josh. Yeah, I think the biggest comment we could possibly
play our side is that their keeper is probably man of the match but we've played very well
in the second half. Probably the best. Bonds five minutes about in a while. Just unlucky
that we've not picked up the three points. And it's good night from me.
