Every town grows a little bit and every town expands a little bit, but I would say as a
whole, it's stayed true to its roots.
I was born in this town, I lived there all my life, and the house that I was born in
still remains here in Brisbane.
When I moved here, everybody knew each other and it was like a big, huge family.
You walk out and you see everybody.
Coming out, there was a coal mining town, and then it went to steel.
This is a good place for people to raise a family.
As you drive through Bridgeville, you can feel that you're in Americana.
Most of the business in Bridgeville, they are family business, from the dad or from
the grandparents, and remain under family history.
I think everybody's proud of the fact that Calusi is the oldest Chevy dealer in the world.
Our grandfather and his brother's own dealership started in 1918.
Chevrolet really fits this town, as it can be seen for the 90 years that we've been
here.
My first automobile was first to start Calusi Chevrolet.
My father owned Chevys, and when I started buying cars, they were Chevys.
My first Chevy that I ever drove in was in 1955, two-door post sedan, and that's the
one that dad taught me to drive in.
My brother had an old 37 Chevy, and our neighbor, he had a 37 Chevy also, and we came upon him,
and that was the first time I ever saw 50 miles an hour in a car.
Obviously, it's not very normal for girls to play football, but I don't feel like an
outsider.
I guess it's kind of a small dream come true.
It's amazing, the friends that I have here.
Bridgel made me aware that I'm as good as anybody.
That made me strong.
A growing plant has roots, and it can't go anywhere without them.
If you don't know where your roots are, how can you move forward?
Every little store in Bridgeville and every little place in Bridgeville is my favorite.
I know everybody, they know me real well.
We are a very close community.
