This week on Feature Feature New Blood, I bring you a short that's rife with robot mysticism,
mystery, reincarnation and revenge. It comes to us from a filmmaker Rocky Kirby and I love
the way he puts it all together, the angles, it's wonderful and I don't want to say anymore,
I don't want to ruin it for you. No spoilers here, let's go watch Dark Vessel from Rocky
Kirby on Creature Feature New Blood. I wish we could have found you a taller tree,
but it's only fitting that you die on your people's land. Get me last words. As my spirit
leaves my body, it will remain with my shadow self until it finds a vessel. Then I will ride
my vessel of death and kill you.
Get him down.
Is that a werewolf? Sorry we couldn't find you a longer chain. You can't scare me from
seeing your daughter? Well that's all up to you. Some people are like stains and like
any stain. You have to remove it. If you want to watch this sign by morning, you can continue
to see my daughter. No problemo. As my spirit leaves my body, it will remain with my shadow
self until it finds a vessel. Then I will ride my vessel of death and kill you.
He he he. Smooth as my cousin's butt. Where the heck is your shadow?
I'm freaking out. Where are you at?
What in the hell happened? I don't know. Something was here. Right here. Now? It's
gone. Let's get you out of here.
Got you. Great son of a bitch.
I guess you won't be creeping around my daughter.
No light, no shadow. Sometimes to remove a stain, you just have to do it yourself.
Go on.
Didn't you just love the robots?
Ah, Rocky did such a great job.
But who is this guy?
Rocky Kirby.
Well, every time you hear his name, you think of, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom,
boom, boom, boom, boom, boom.
Because he's not climbing the steps in Philadelphia.
No, no, no.
Actually, he has spent his youth in his grandparents' creaky movie theater, in an even creepier
small Texas town.
So you might say he's got movies and maybe even horror movies, or definitely creepiness
in his blood.
But now he no longer lives in a small Texas town, he lives in a very large California
town called Los Angeles.
And he actually makes a living there, and unfortunately it's doing children's films.
What does he really want to do?
We can't talk about it.
Oh, yes, we can.
What he really wants to do is to turn his colorful nightmares into entertainment.
And this movie, Dark Vessel, is anything like what he could produce in the future.
He's got a great career in front of him.
Congratulations, Rocky.
Boom, boom, boom, boom.
You can't come up with your own theme song, okay?
Hey, thank you for being with us.
Until next time, I'm the Count Gordieval.
May all your blood be warm and your feelings short.
Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom.
I'm stuck on this.
I'm stuck on this.
