Every experience that you've ever had, everything that you've ever done, everything that you've
ever learned has brought you to this moment as you stand now before these witnesses to
take each other as husband and wife.
New experiences lie before you with opportunities to grow deeper in love with each other as
you walk hand-in-hand into the future, cherish each moment as a gift given to strengthen
the bond between you.
I just want you guys to turn in for a minute and take a look at who's here, just turn out
and take a deep, okay look around for a minute, take a deep breath, there's no better place
to be than right here right now.
All your friends and family are here, at least the ones you invited to share your special
day.
Alright Dylan, question for you, are you ready to take Casey to be your wife, to give her
your undying love and commitment, to be a responsible husband, to respect and cherish her above all
others, encouraging her to be herself and to grow into all the God-wants for her associated?
Casey, are you ready to take Dylan to be your husband, to give him your undying love and
commitment, to be a responsible wife, to respect and cherish him above all others, encouraging
him to be himself and to grow into all the God-wants for him associated.
I actually have no idea what you're thinking about right now, I'll just be honest, we've
spent some awesome time together since last August when we met, actually in July at Micah's
wedding and I feel like I've stepped into a bit of a family here, it's interesting that
there's at least one person up front here that I've known probably since about 2005
or 2006, haven't seen her since then, and with the football team I met Micah and that
led to friendships with you and with Adam and your brothers and all these people here
today and it's been really awesome to see this journey in the last 10 months or so,
to see where you've come to get here today.
So what I want to give you for a minute here is kind of a summation of all that we've talked
about in the last six months that we've been hanging out, you too and my wife and I, and
hopefully more of that to come.
These are some words from the Bible from 1 Corinthians chapter 13 and if you just knew
this part of the Bible it would be great advice to get you through.
Love is patient and kind, love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude, although some
of those things might happen along the way.
Love does not demand its own way, we talked about being sacrificial, it is not irritable,
on some days it will be anyway.
It keeps no record of being wrong, really important, don't keep track of the wrongs
of the other person you'll have for many of your own.
It does not rejoice about injustice, but rejoices whenever truth comes out, love never gives
up, it never loses faith.
Love is always hopeful and endures every circumstance.
Three things will last forever according to the possible faith, hope and love, the greatest
things is love.
Your marriage is intended to join you for life in a relationship that's so intimate and personal
that it will change you completely, you're not done.
Love offers you the hope and the promise of love, it's real and lasting as you follow
this plan for marriage.
So would you guys just face each other, both of you?
Promises and I have these in writing.
Either if you need to, not that you're keeping track, but just to remember, good things remember
is Dylan, you first.
I Dylan choose you, Casey is my best friend.
I promise you my deepest love, my fullest devotion, my most tender care, through the
pressures of the present, uncertainties of the future.
Promise to be faithful to you, I promise to love you, to commit to you, to support you.
From this day forward, you will not walk alone.
My heart will be your shelter, my arms will be your home.
As I have given you my hands to hold, I give you my life to keep, always and forever.
I'm Casey, I Casey choose you Dylan as my best friend, my love for my, I promise you
my deepest love, my fullest devotion, my most tender care, through the pressures of the
present, uncertainties of the future, I promise to be faithful to you, I promise to love you,
to commit to you, to support you.
From this day forward, my heart will be your shelter, my arms will be your home.
As I have given you my hands to hold, now I give you my life to keep, always and forever.
So what token do you have to express your commitment to one another today?
Those small in size, these rings are very significant, they're made of precious metal,
they remind us that love is not cheap, they're common, they're made in a circle, their design
tells us the love that's never come to an end, we must keep it continuous.
So as you wear these rings with it together or apart, may they be concert liars or promises
that you make to each other today.
So Dylan if you put this ring on Casey's finger, I give you this ring, it's a symbol
of my value, all that I have, all that I have in my heart, I give you this ring, it's a symbol
of my value, it's all in my heart, all that I have, all that I have in my heart.
Well guess what, I now get to pronounce you husband and wife before God, before all of
us, the name of the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit, amen, amen, kiss your bride.
All right would you guys pray with me, Father we come to you today asking your blessing
on these two lives and on this home, you have made us so that we are incomplete without
the other, so that we desire to love and to be loved, we're thankful for the love that
we see here today and even more for the love that we feel from you, may we never take your
love for granted.
We pray that your love will preserve and protect Dylan and Casey so that when happiness comes
they can share it together, when sorrow threatens you will help them to bear it together, enjoy
and tears and sunshine or rain, help them draw closer to each other and nearer to you, give
them patience, gentleness, kindness, understanding, Father protect their home from the forces
that will break it apart, we ask you to grant them good health, long life, and the fulfillment
of every good dream.
We ask that their level continue through life and finally blend into eternity with you Jesus
name.
Amen.
It's my privilege to present to you for the very first time, Mr. and Mrs. Dylan and
Casey Harvey.
Now that Dylan and Casey are married, I have a third hand.
It's going to be an honor, an honor to welcome you to our family and to cherish you.
Now that Dylan and Casey are married, I finally figure something out, I should probably realize
a lot sooner than quite a lot of you know, and that's that our mom chose our wives, right?
So, Casey, I just want to say that I know that you are the one that, my mom chose for
Dylan, I'm so happy that you guys are together and you guys have already been so much better
as a couple.
I truly believe you guys can get through anything together, and I'll be yours, um, and with me.
Thank you.
