My name is Karen Richardson.
About four years ago, I was in a career crisis and I was totally broken and Joe gave a message
about trust and I needed to trust my life to God because I was at a low point.
I was listening in my brokenness and I heard God and he said,
Karen, I will take you more places than you can imagine.
And so I had to trust that God was going to lead me.
Joe announced that they were taking a group to Africa and that's when I went,
oh, that's why I heard that and then I looked at my husband and said,
I'm going to Africa.
Fast forward six months later, I'm in Africa giving my testimony.
On that trip, you're challenged to come back and do something with your experience.
And my do something was I didn't know and after much praying and thought,
I heard, again, I heard God's voice say, Karen, you're going to put on and run.
Spokane, Kenya and I put the two together and the Spokane, Europe run seed was planted.
It's a fundraiser for Spring of Hope International for us to get to know our global neighbors and their needs.
I'm excited for the future because God does amazing things and the future for me means,
hold on, you never know what's coming next.
So God is changing me and telling me to trust him.
Yeah, he does close doors and steers you in a different direction where he wants you.
Being a wholehearted follower means you've given your entire life to Christ.
You've given him your career, your kids, your dreams, everything.
A total surrender means a complete trust in God that he has your best interests.
He knows what's best for you.
Even though you think you might know what is best or you think you're doing what God has called you to do,
he might say, uh-uh, no, I'm going to take you in a different direction.
And when he does, I guarantee you it is more than you can ever imagine.
My name is Karen Richardson and I am not a fan.
