Hi everybody, welcome to another review video. This time it's for a free app that you can
get, I believe it's only on Android, and it's called SlideJoy. So if you want it after you've
seen this video and you think it's worth getting, you just need to type SlideJoy into
your Google Play Store on your smartphone, and it should come up. So as you can see it's
called SlideJoy Lock Screen Cash. So it basically pays you for adverts to be shown on the front
of your phone, on your lock screen. So that's how it looks, that's the screenshot I took
for this review. So what happens is when your phone's locked, obviously it's just got the
black screen, you don't see anything. And then when you click a button to unlock your
phone, that's how the screen will look. And if you don't want to, it tends to be all articles
that you can see there. And if you don't want to read it, you just swipe to the right and
it's gone. So it's literally no effort, it is the true definition of pretty much money
for nothing. So I decided to do a 21 day test of just running SlideJoy app, just to see
quite frankly whether it's worth using. So you can also make money with it via surveys,
I think they are, they have a section within the app where you can get even more money,
but I didn't want to do that, I just wanted to try out the lock screen. So let's have
a look then at the results. So at average, they give you it in points, so you build up
points. And at average 83 points a day, which if you ran it for a year would bring in $30.46.
So it's not a huge amount, but I mean what do you expect for doing? Absolutely nothing
quite frankly. And as I've put further down, if I can find it, I would recommend the app
in terms of people who are not absolute smartphone junkies. If you're constantly on and off your
phone, I imagine after a while having to swipe right every time to unlock your phone could
get annoying. But for most people that aren't, then it is kind of money for nothing. My
phone contract is an EE one, which is £10 a month. And at the current exchange rate,
this will bring in just over £24 a year, which is two and a half months worth of phone contract
in a year. So I'm going to keep it on because I just think well, it's money for nothing
and it doesn't bother me. So all in all, I would recommend it if you're, you know, not
an absolute mad smartphone junkie. One thing I will say is that I'm obviously in the UK
and different reviews seem to basically different people in different countries seem to be getting
paid different amounts. So I've seen most of the complaints seem to come from people
in India, they seem to be getting paid a lot less. So I guess with Slidejoy, they make
their money from these adverts, I guess they are region specific. So how much money they
get for showing them depends on where the people are that are using them. So that's
worth noting, you may get hopefully a similar amount to me if you're in the UK, you may
get more if you're in the United States, I don't know, you may get more in other countries,
you also may get less. So it's the sort of thing where probably worth just trying it
out if you want to. And if it don't work, you just uninstall it, sorry, it's free. So
yeah, it's not a big money maker, but it requires no work. And it is kind of the definition
of money for nothing. So yeah, I hope that helps.
