Hello, this is- Hello, my name is A-Wire and I'm a professional- This is making me laugh, man.
Alright, got this.
Alright, I'm gonna take it from the top.
Hello, my name is A-Wire and I'm a professional BMX rider from Jamaica.
I've been riding for 11 years but for the past 6 years I've been riding professionally.
I first got into BMX when I was like 5 years old and I said that, hey, you know, that looks kind of cool
and that's something that I was always wanting to do.
However, there's no bike shops here in Jamaica. There's no skate parks here in Jamaica.
So it was a very hard task.
Fast forward 17 years later, I finally got a chance to get my first bike.
I started riding around, trying a couple of tricks.
I met this guy named Jida who is my mentor.
He started teaching me how to ride and then I was like, you know what, this is something I really have a knock for.
However, as I said before, there was no skate parks.
So we decided that, hey, what we're gonna do is we're gonna build this.
So we formed a team called the Crash System.
Then we started seeking donations.
We started getting scrap metals and all that jazz just to build some rums.
So we built some rums and now we have taught ourselves how to ride these rums.
But I decided, hey, you know what, I'm just gonna take this to the next level.
So my goal is to go to the X Games and compete and to represent Jamaica as an athlete.
I've gotten the opportunity right now to go to the U.S. and train so that I can better myself as an athlete
as well as come back and help the sport here by transforming whatever I've learned to all the riders here.
And also when the main key thing is that the rums that we built, we built it without any plan or any real knowledge.
So I hope to go to these facilities and actually see these facilities for myself, ride them, experience them for what they are.
And then so when I come back home, I can go, okay, guys, this is how we're gonna build all our rums.
So I'm just here as one fan to another.
I'm just trying to get some support. With me going to the X Games, it's not only going to benefit me as an individual
just to pursue my dream, but it will also change the entire sport in Jamaica.
So go to rallyme.com and support AY's mission to the X Games.
I would really appreciate the help. I would really love the support.
And you will be making my dream come true.
Thank you.
