Angkor Wat is so special to me and Cambodian in general because it is a symbol of Cambodian existence.
Even now the country is very small and also not really modern and developed.
Be Cambodian always says that Cambodian at the time was so huge in terms of culture, tradition, language and the race itself.
It's unbelievable that Angkor Wat really exists in that period of time.
When I was young, almost every day I'd ride my bike past Angkor Wat.
It just seems like it's a pieces of stone. I don't even know how important it is for the country.
I still feel goosebumps sometimes. Even I'm Cambodian and I took people over there almost every day.
And people just kind of wonder how they can build this.
There were no modern science, but once you look into the specific area and lay out of the temple, how they built it, that's based on science.
And if you look back into that time, even now we're not really glorious and prosperous in 21st century.
But if you look back into those times from 8th century to 9th century and 1200, that was the beautiful time of the country.
That's why Angkor Wat is so important.
There's a lot of potential to grow as a nation.
Our country basically just really opened the gates to the other countries to come to visit.
And I just feel amazed by our ancestors that could build those temples in our country.
And they're proud to be born in Cambodia.
When I just look into the temples and I can feel like I see people at a time.
And it seems like we're not living in the present these days. It seems like we're always living in the past because of that history.
So that is the symbol of the power and empire of our kingdom at the time.
Even though it's already over 4,000 of years, it's just amazing.
Thank you for watching.
