What's up, Bright?
What's up, Bright?
I'm so excited about this year because, you know, the house along with just all the travels
and things just made for a very busy year and it just went by quick.
Working on a new album, working on a Vans part, Vans is coming out with a video, How
Far Am I Along, Getting Started, I'm right in there, yeah I've got the year basically
to hopefully get up and going and then from there I imagine this is the best case scenario
of the late 2014.
That's best case scenario, most likely it'll push.
I'll be honest, like photos are super fun so I've got to be careful not to let it dominate
so I specifically push to shoot my project this year so that way I can get other stuff
done, shoot during that time and then at the end of the year do the book because the book
is a year long project.
But along the way I can manage my own processing, make proof sheets, edit along the way so
when it's all done I'm not sitting there with a bag full of like 80 rolls, I already have
a process, I already have it and then the goal is to build a dark room in 2014 and then
just print it all up.
I'm going to print everything for the book.
You know I just think having a family, growing up, responsibilities and having interests where
to do it the way I want to do it, I need time, you can't just cook it up super quick and
put it out there.
It's like these things are more, you know, the very nature of the ideas and the goals
take time.
You know what I mean?
Much like having a goal to turn pro for skateboarding, you're not just going to go out and do it.
You've got to invest and there's a learning curve and you've got to pay your dues.
A video part's never been quick, not since late 80s.
How long has those cats been working on?
Pretty sweet.
Started after, you know, fully flared, how long ago was fully flared?
You know what I'm saying?
So it's just like the very nature of these things take a while anyway.
And then there's a difference in how you grow and how you learn to how it looks.
You know what I'm saying?
I have to spend time with scales on my guitar, so many days sitting in front of the TV, da,
da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da.
So boring.
But once I got it into my fingers, I don't have to think about it as much and now I can
just let it out.
Skateboarding, right?
It's like how long did it take to learn a 360 flip or whatever, like you have to invest.
You've got to put woodshed in and then once you get it, then it can become natural or
whatever, you know?
So the camera's no different.
