What is the purpose of sealing wefts?
Here before you I have a simple hair weft.
Silling wefts will basically keep your hair or your wefts from unraveling at the ends once it has been cut.
Most of the time you will need to seal your wefts if you are using wefts that are made by a manufacturer that manufacture the hair very cheaply.
Now if it is a premium manufacturer then you should not have any problems with your wefts unraveling because it will be double stitched.
So just in case you want to be sure I will show you how to seal your weft.
I would recommend something very simple in order to seal your wefts.
A drip fray check and it will stop fraying on fabric and also your wefts.
You can cut the nozzle at an angle so you have smooth application and apply it on the underside of your weft.
Just a real thin coat will be okay and allow it to dry for maybe 3 to 4 hours just to be sure.
But this fray check here says that you can use it after 30 minutes.
But let it dry for 3 to 4 hours just so we can be sure.
Now that your weft has dried we can test it for durability.
It feels firmer and that's great.
And the reason why I choose a drip fray check is because it will seal your weft and it will also allow you to still stitch through your weft.
Now other people will tell you to use other items that will leave your weft really hard and you won't be able to get a needle through it.
But with drips you can because it's soft enough to allow your needle to go through.
Once again soft enough for your needle to go through.
And also when you cut the weft no fraying.
And that is how you seal your weft.
