Welcome to my house, I'm CJ.
Woo!
Thank you.
Thank you.
I met Tim this summer when
Ryan brought him to town
for summer camp.
I was listening to Lee Ruin
from the time it was released in January.
One of my favorite records.
We counted on the best songs on my show on MSc.
It was in top five.
End in Flames.
And I was really mad because
Muzzle Bees did its fifth anniversary
at Cactus. I kind of arranged
my whole night so we could sneak away
and see Tim set.
And I guess the bass player kind of ran around
filming this was late and they switched it.
I was just, I bitched about it.
So pretty much the reason you're here tonight
is because you're playing about having
Miss Tim at Cactus.
So these things all kind of came together
and I'm very happy to have all of you here
to do Tim's show.
Thank you.
Let's get the night going.
Cheers to everybody.
Cheers to the walkers.
How about the movie?
I'm thinking about it.
I said it in August. I'll say it again.
The Paris of the Midwest.
So this song is about this famous hotel there
that was called Hotel Sterling.
A lot of presidents stayed there
and I lived right underneath it
and I had to see it.
In a bad time of my life I had to see it
get and take down floor by floor
for some reason. They decided to demolish it
and I kind of thought it was fitting to
blow it up to just like
fitting into a beautiful building.
It had to come down anyways
but I just feel like they shouldn't
give it a little bit more dignity.
Yeah, but Brian and Aaron
are going to start singing a part
and it's real easy.
And you can kind of pick up when they start
and then kind of pick your melody
and pick your harmony or whatever you want to do
and then we'll build it into something big.
I drank myself to sleep
every night of last week
then I walked to
my boss' car store
to buy a case of crazy horse
then I dreamt I stayed
in the Sterling
in the same bed as Kennedy
then Jackie and Johnny were cabling
right up the main line
in the last stops in Carlindale
where John once found some German tale
and as Irish and German son
wrote a story called
Kill Dragon, it was a huge hit
in the youth group scene
cause he pledged hope
to sell out the sea
and I saw him coming
I saw him coming
I saw him coming
I saw him coming
I saw him coming
I saw him coming
I saw him coming
I saw him coming
This year I'm going to try and keep
My friends called me to be here
And I hope one day that I have as much of my grandfathers in David
And I saw you coming
I saw you coming
I saw you coming
I saw you coming
I saw you coming
I saw you coming
I saw you coming
I saw you coming
I saw you coming
I saw you coming
I saw you coming
I saw you coming
I saw you coming
I saw him coming.
I saw him coming.
I saw him coming.
I saw him coming.
I saw him coming.
I saw him coming.
I saw him coming.
I saw him coming.
I saw him coming.
I saw him coming.
I saw him coming.
I saw him coming.
I saw him coming.
I saw him coming.
I saw him coming.
I saw him coming.
I saw him coming, I saw him coming, I saw him coming, I saw him coming.
Man, that was awesome guys.
Yeah, that's why it's good to share the load, man. Share the load.
It's a lot better.
Let's have another cheers after that one.
Well, let's have a cheers to my, the only reason why I would ever have anyone know who I am in Milwaukee is because I'm Brian Madison.
I probably sent him 50 emails in this weird, delusional, crazy state, asking him advice, looking for advice, and he just, he writes back calmly and answers that and he's just, he's just really, I'm lucky to have him as a friend, so that's right.
Cheers.
And tell him when I got you as present when I got you.
He got me a Rick Meyer autograph and nobody probably knows who that is.
Yeah, the former quarterback. And also he lived in my neighborhood growing up.
Yeah, golden boy.
Rick Meyer also got caught up in my grandpa's fridge.
He got caught in my grandpa's apartment above his garage and my mom walked up. She just thought we were up there and caught him with like, she was like, she said, I saw a lot of Rick Meyer there.
Golden boy indeed.
