After getting that village,
I call the community, they come together,
I talk to them,
I tell them,
before I provide the well,
let us start with this.
So that thing which I'm talking about
is called home improvement campaign,
about hygiene and sanitation.
So I teach them that,
and then after when I say
that I've improved in that village,
I take it that well.
I tell them to dig a bit later,
that's the first thing.
Second to that,
is the rubbish pit.
Left of us,
they throw in that rubbish pit.
Thirdly, the kitchen.
It has to be there.
Another one is the drying rack.
Drying rack is something
where we put our plates.
Then we have a wire,
a drying wire,
and we tell them
to put their clothes
on that wire,
instead of putting clothes
just on the grass.
So those are some of the things
we tell them to do.
And that home improvement campaign
it takes something like 3 months
to finish it.
At first they say,
ah, we don't like it.
Sometimes they may say,
ah, this thing can take us time.
We are busy with some other thing.
So at first they don't like it.
But after some time,
they say please,
thank you for coming.
Sometimes where there's a good thing,
you find there disadvantages,
where there are advantages.
Even disadvantages are there.
You may go
in a certain village.
You provide the water there.
But they may not have conflicts before.
But once that works there,
sometimes they can start
getting misunderstandings.
We teach them
working together is very important.
Working with the community
is very important.
It's better themselves
to work together.
So that even if we are not there,
we get the water user committee.
It's because those people
they are direct from that village.
So let us work together with you people.
We don't want just to work we alone,
but we want to work together with you.
So they help us to run that
project when we are working in the community.
They are like,
like our representative in that village.
Because if there's a problem
before we go there,
themselves can start working on it.
If they see that it's very
hard for them to solve that problem,
that's when we go.
But for them,
they can solve some minor problems
and it's important to us.
We see that it's very important to us.
And when we put there that well,
we feel like
there are some people who are taking care
for that well.
And we are not the people who take care
for that well.
We are the people, those community members,
they are the one who takes care for that well.
We need more prayers so that
this organization or this project
can continue to do what they are doing.
And if somebody not only
outside, but even here in Uganda,
if he or she has an idea,
an idea which can
help this project to continue,
please, we welcome everybody
to bring the ideas which can encourage us
to perform well in everything we are doing.
I'm very happy for everything
what we are doing.
And I'm very thankful,
I just thank everybody for that.
