I grew up in a Christian family so I always knew about Jesus and always knew about God
but I was not really a follower.
After we got married we tried to have a baby for several years and without success and
going to doctors and trying to figure out what was wrong and I was angry at God and
just it was a dark time in my life.
I kind of started thinking about my life and what's my relationship with Jesus and I started
praying and I had a lot of questions and just why this is happening to me and I was just
really angry with God.
One Sunday we came to church and it was the series about a follower or a fan and that's
when it just felt like Joe was talking to me and what he said about patience with God just
being patient with God and listening to what he's saying and I started praying and that's
when he gave me kind of peace and I didn't feel so sad and lonely anymore and that's
when I started really following Jesus.
I kind of always wanted to adopt ever since I was a young girl I guess.
I just had a heart for kids and I think finding out that I can't have children it was kind
of an answer from God.
The beginning of the year we heard about Antioch.
We kind of started researching about that and then went on their website and just started
reading about their ministry and starting the process of adoption.
It's a non-profit organization for adoption so they do foster to adopt and adoption.
They really focus on children going to Christian homes and Christian families so they grow
up being Christian and seeing Jesus through that.
When we adopted Zoe we decided to do open adoption for the purpose of through our life Zoe's
birth mom can see Jesus in us and planning a seed in her heart is our mission.
When Zoe actually came and we went to the hospital and I got to meet her and when I
held her and just felt so right and she was mine.
Our Heavenly Father, Lord, thank you for the opportunity adopting Zoe and blessing
our life with her.
Teach me to raise her right and give me wisdom so she'll become a follower of Christ.
