you
My name is Alex Cabezón, I'm 31 years old, and I'm a kid.
My people are from Central America, primarily in Panama and Colombia.
I live on the land and in small towns, located all over the jungle.
We make handicrafts to sell in the markets, but many of them are very poor,
and that's why people take advantage of us.
When I was young, we lived in Colombia, and because of the civil conflict,
many young people were kidnapped by the guerrilla and forced to fight.
When I was 10 years old, my mother and father fled from Colombia with me,
because of the fear that I was also kidnapped to be a soldier.
They are my parents and my mother.
Since then, they started to live in handicrafts,
and they still live in handicrafts.
That's where I went every Friday, the weekend, to the other side to sell my handicrafts.
There was a time when he asked me what I was going to do in life,
and I said I wanted to get to know more God and maybe talk about God to my people.
And then one time, Wilbur said,
he said, look, there's a school called Jocun,
and he told me that it's a school to get to know more God,
a very good foundation for the Christian faith.
Since then, I started working in Jocun.
I also opened the door.
That was also helping my people, not only to the people in Daria,
but also to my people here in San Antonio,
and God gave me that passion to work.
And he also opened the door with another organization,
to help with the construction of the house,
and it's a cousin of mine called Lisa.
She was already a widow,
and this organization came and helped her build a new house for her.
So she was very happy to have a house,
since she didn't have anyone to help her,
and she had a very good house.
When I finished my house,
there was a new house called Esperanza.
I was happy.
I was crying too,
and my children were happy too.
Now they have a wood, a table, everything.
I am happy.
I also sleep peacefully.
Now I am happy to give another friend,
close to my friend,
to give me a new house too.
And thank you.
And now we see this second phase,
that is done here in this community in San Antonio,
to build a second house for my mother.
Today we are processing,
as we can see we are already doing the playground,
but if we are advancing a lot,
we can't work so much for the rain,
but we are very happy to do the things we can do.
Well, my name is Felipe,
leader of the community of San Antonio-Guaynán.
I also think that children are also very happy
to be able to have something to play,
and to have a team of construction,
such as this house of hope,
it really is of an uncalculable value
for the community.
Thank you very much,
and may God bless you all.
Here I got $10, and yesterday I got $10 more,
and I was dreaming of that too,
and God gave me that too.
They are going to give you money and food,
and the perfect price,
and I really believe it.
God lives, Jesus lives.
