As-salamu alaykum
To be honest, I have not been in America and I don't know how the culture is, but in Africa, we always depend on God.
Especially here, it's like in the refugees. Tomorrow you depend on God, either you get food or not, but God really always provides.
It's always amazing to me how God uses some of the most difficult situations in your personal life and in the world and in countries to do great things.
All the heartache and the trouble of war is just you see it on their faces.
You know, people that I'm sure many of them don't even know where they are. You know, some of them just got to the camp, some of them have been here a long time.
The people in the Nuba Mountains, they've been coming across the border into South Sudan to a huge refugee camp there.
We discovered this camp three or four years ago. It was being serviced very well by the UN and Samaritan's Purse, but we started bringing mobile messengers in.
These pastors are doing work and reaching communities and people and tribes that we will never have an opportunity to reach ourselves.
You know, there's 2.2 billion people in the world who've never heard the name of Jesus, and that's the crowd we're after.
I love speaking with our pastors. I remember what I said, you know, man, I'm not a refugee. You know, I'm here on mission and I'm here to plant churches and to reach people for Christ.
And God's using this camp to do mighty things.
My favorite verse in John chapter 15 from verses 1 to 7, Jesus said, I am the by, and you are the branches.
Abiding me and I, apart from me, you will do nothing. So this verse always reminds me to be in Jesus because without Jesus I can do nothing.
Without Jesus I can't move.
What excites me is when I come to a place like this and I meet with these pastors and groups in Rwanda, in Tanzania, in Kenya, in Ethiopia and in Sudan, and I see their passion and I know their heart for God and I know their heart for their own people.
It gets me excited to say, how can we come alongside and assist you, pastor? How can we help you to do your ministry and reach more people?
We are trying to rescue people from danger, from the wrath of God. So we must rejoice all the time because that's what God called us to do.
So as a mobile messenger, our focus is on God and we know God will never forsaken us.
