Hello, my name is Anders. We're just down at East Point here. I usually come down here
anytime I'm free at the weekends or have a few days off. For instance, I might wake
off and I'll walk. So most mornings I like to come down and go for a bit of a
run cycle, use the equipment here for doing my own little exercises. I love
coming down here mainly in the Sunday morning with my wife or some friends
and just getting the fresh air and taking in the nice scenery so yeah it's
great. I think it was just more nosy and around than anything and was kind of
down just staying around me and then I spotted it and a few years back it was
like 25 kilo heavier and I was excited and wanted to lose a bit of weight and I thought
this is a great place to come down and was doing the thing and we've seen it was
actually like a little mini triathlon and did that with my wife and some
friends which that's just one that always sticks out because I struggled
through it but I knew from then this is a great place to come down for so many
different various exercises because you all go down here as well and then Sunday
morning and see people out in kayaks and yeah when you get here there's what's
not the lake it's sort of having your kind of dream of you know what I mean you
got nice calm waters all the time lovely weather nice scenery as you walk around
you got these exercise equipment there's so much you can do you can vary so so
much having about it like you do I've been doing interval training with them
just different things and making it up as you go along because you've got so much
options and chases and then you've got your track that you can go for a jog to
cool down and come back and start again and
safety means to me I suppose a piece of man that you can come down here at any
time early in the morning later in the afternoon during the day I suppose any
time and just yeah just knowing that you can come down do your own thing and not
have to worry so much about anything yet you just just come down do whatever you
want to do and go home safe I've never felt any like immediate danger so it's
yes it's always been pretty pretty good to me I yeah I haven't seen anything off
putting yeah I usually feel safe I can't think of when I haven't I noticed I
suppose over the last few months more so in the mornings that you know the
people come around and clear that the local indigenous people that might be
sleeping rough people might feel intimidated by onboard usually I don't
it doesn't it doesn't really interfere with me too much but people who comes
here maybe on cruises or up for the dry season to come if they want to come down
and they've here about this place I'm gonna come down for a walk or for a bit
of exercise or just to take in the scenery that they don't be like maybe
shouted at or to see and suppose stuff that you really don't associate with
when you think of these beautiful places I know they're doing like more public
housing at the minute they're building a public housing and that but how to take
care of it is suppose it's a million-dollar question in it and yeah I
suppose education I suppose can we go to a certain extent and I'm not I'm not I
couldn't I'm not sure
I just ramble on and don't make any sense sometimes no I think I said I am
yeah I just love it here it's great it's been good to me and I just try to be
trader treat it with the same you know trading trade it with keep it clean keep
it tidy so everybody can enjoy it
