go and watch the Outsiders premiere for the Driftworks, I'll feel with Dan Joyce, myself Jarotobi
in the Nice Premier Inn Hotel, well nice furnished, good job Lenny Henry, ain't it?
Okay so tonight is the premiere of the Outsiders Drift documentary which is a film that was taken
in Japan back in the end of November, it's basically not a drift montage, that's the first thing we
were trying real hard not to make, it's an actual insight and a view from people who have never
been to Japan before, sort of tagging on to people who have and trying to just understand what a weird
place it is and not only just how Japan differs but how the drifting differs more importantly and
everything that they do has has an organisation to it and that's you know whether it's either
even if it's a legal or it's a completely legal track event, the drifting all has a structure,
it has leaders and it ties in exactly a Japanese culture and that's what we've tried to bring
across in the film. I organised it all and sort of called up all my buddies over there and said
I bring a bunch of morons over to have a look around, I'm Mito from Japan, we decided that we
were going to get the like the costumes that all the kids in Harajuku wear, you know like dinosaurs
and Hello Kitty and all that crap. I want to see the bit from BR again because in my the guy from
BR was so nice, what a nice guy. It was all a bit last minute really, I got a phone call from Mito
sort of about two days before we were about to leave, he was just like we've got a spare spot,
do you want to come and I was like I don't know, I had a bit of money saved up, I was saving it for
a car but then I thought I've been into drifting for about 10-12 years now, I thought I've followed
sort of drifting in Japan for so long and I just thought yeah let's do it, I'm not going to get a
better opportunity to go, I'd like fill all the guys from Driftworks, Mito and I thought I might
as well do it, I'm going to see so much cool stuff that I've always wanted to see so.
So what you're about to watch is a feaks length film that was built over 10 days and edited in
two months, so that's why it's crap. That's the other reason. So enjoy the film, yeah.
I didn't see you come in there, I'm Daniel Broderick, I'm welcome to Inside Tokyo Drift 9.
No, outside Tokyo Drift part, no, no, outside, welcome to the premiere of Outsiders.
Please go and buy it, you can't be here to see it in the cinema unfortunately but the Blu-ray
and DVD come in the same box and it's hopefully something that's completely unique,
there's nothing else I've seen like it hopefully. Good stuff.
