Hey there, I'm Cody Jones, owner of Callaway Jones Funeral Increation Center.
My family's been in the funeral industry for 110 years and we're at our brand new
Funeral Increation Center at Bryan College Station. Come on in, I want to show you around.
We built this brand new Funeral Increation Center because it's what the community wanted.
Funeral homes have changed a lot since we've been in business. We built this new funeral center to
accommodate today's modern families. We have families that walk in here all the time that say,
wow, this doesn't feel like a funeral home. Well, that's exactly what we wanted them to say when
we were designing it. I'd like to show you our legacy lounge. This is where our families and
their guests can come in, enjoy some refreshments. We've got a full-size refrigerator, coffee station.
They just like to hang out in here. Also with our legacy lounge, we have a patio just off to the
side where people can be outside if they need some fresh air. Welcome to our Blue Bonnet community
room. The best part about this room is that it's comfortable and it's inviting and flexible.
We can host luncheons. We can host receptions before or after funeral services. We can host any kind
of a celebration of life or memorial event that our families can dream of. We're very versatile
and flexible and we now have the space to accommodate all of those different types of
needs that our families are bringing to us. In our old funeral home, we had a 2,000 square foot
room with about 30 full-size caskets in there. Let's be honest, who wants to walk into a room
with 30 caskets and have to choose a casket? I've had family members who've passed out in there just
because it's so overwhelming. And so when we built this new funeral center, we did something a little
different. In this room, we meet with our families who are choosing to have a burial at one of the
local cemeteries. One of the most terrifying things for families is going into a giant room with 30
caskets. This room is the complete opposite. It's very inviting and not overwhelming. In our
Arrangement Conference room, we've got a hide-a-closet and the hide-a-closet actually has four full-size caskets in it.
And that's what we show our families if they would like to see a full-size casket in person. The doors
stay closed until we get to that point in the conference and then we simply ask the family if
they would like to see a full-size casket in person or if they would like to choose from the TV
monitor or a book. And every single family has been perfectly fine with those options. This is our
cremation conversation suite. This space allows us to offer our families all different types of
urns and memorials to honor their loved one. We're able to meet with them and plan a very customized
celebration of life service. When we built our brand new funeral center here, we wanted to
offer our families something new and something different. This is our Magnolia cremation suite
where we allow our families to come in and be present with their loved one before the cremation
process begins. We even offer an optional viewing window so that they may watch the cremations
starting. Our cremation suite consists of an area where we have our cremator and then we
have an adjacent room right off to the side. The room next to our cremator is large enough to
accommodate family members, friends. We can have a final send-off in there or some kind of final
prayer. Our Magnolia cremation suite allows families to be with their loved one for those
last minutes right before the cremation takes place. I'm a fifth generation funeral director.
When you have a business that's been in the family that long, it really means something
to you to be able to carry that legacy on. Not many businesses can say that they've been around for
five generations. I grew up here in Bryan, so you may call me a townie. All of our full-time
staff did. We have over almost 200 years of living in Bryan College Station combined,
and so that's really the difference that you get when you choose a family-owned
funeral home is out local connection.
