One, two, three, I counted to ten. I was counting boxes. I was counting on the radio.
Well Saturday, we're here by 6.30 in the morning and Saturday night this year it was like 10.30, 11.
Like open house weekend, the mornings I guess are the craziest. So getting all the equipment that those directors need to run their event,
all their trophies, prizes, ribbons, waiver forms, all the paperwork stuff has to be done as well.
Never be fully prepared for everything that's going to happen on open house weekend.
Because you have that large number of people, you can't predict what's going to happen.
This year we had so many people who weren't babies. So that was kind of nice.
But no, like I mean, even the officers, we are all very, very different people.
We only have, like if you look at some of those execs that joined this year for the first time,
and how involved, enthusiastic about Colorado they are now, like it's quite the change that's happened in eight months
for a lot of those people.
None of them have the same leadership style, like at the same time are phenomenal leaders and phenomenal representatives.
Still went above and beyond what they are expected to do as an executive.
I think though, like all of our execs take a lot of pride in what they do and understand that, you know,
like we're working with like a nine year old me, and that there's a lot of like pride,
but also like a lot of love and hard work that went into that.
Not a university run event. It's students that run open house weekend.
They're like, oh, it's a university event, right?
Yeah, it just happens.
It just happens. Like someone does it. I don't know who, but they have no idea that we are a CSA club
and that we're not like faculty-led and that sort of thing.
Well, Tribune article. I mean, so often do they have to deal with the negatives of student life
and, you know, thanks for, you know, giving students a good name for a little while
and then having university staff say the same thing is pretty amazing to me.
All this, like a play-by-play of where they went and who he went with.
Like, we didn't know the people from the hole in the wall.
But he was just so excited to share.
Keep going. That's good. That's good.
Oh, where are you?
Oh, that's good.
Like, as much as people on the outside don't understand what it means to us,
I don't think we ever fully grasp what it means to be part of the public
and have to start to get these emails from people in the public
who feel like they have to thank you and all of the volunteers who have done so much to make it happen.
And so, like, that people realize, I think people do realize it's a big event
and they may not realize how few people put it on,
but I think they really do realize how important college royal is to the community
and that's kind of one of the best parts about it.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
