Hey guys, Johnny Revolt here on the set of Ghost of Good Night Lane.
We're dealing with the aftermath right now.
This is one of our outdoor sets and we're going to run through today on how we built
the Revolt rig.
You always want to start with a low riser plate for the F3.
Next, go with two 18-inch rods.
You need to use a 3-piece so that you can get the side of the cage out far enough to
go around the body of the F3.
Use a 12-inch rod to go across and you're going to put your arms on each side of the
12-inch.
Now we're ready to go.
Two more 12-inch rods along the top there.
At this point, you want to put on your cheese plate so you can get stuff on the side.
Put on your other arms too to go up around the top.
Love the red rock.
All right, here's what you got.
If you notice, the arms up higher than it is extended.
How's that?
Okay, are we rolling?
Now it's time to put on the F3.
There we go.
At this point, I like to put on the blue follow focus and we have a dummy blue follow focus
with the dummy side.
Now we're going to put the mat box on.
Put the arm on, slip the mat box in.
One side note on the mat box for the F3, red rock made us a custom piece which brings the
mat box up just a little bit so it'll actually clear the lens.
Now we're going to put three 18-inch rods along the top so that we can secure all of
the rest of our stuff on there.
We put this handle on with this foot that secures into the top of the camera and it
also secures the top of the cage.
Put one three piece in the front and one three piece in the back.
I like to put away in the back for balance.
We secure the synod deck on by attaching this quick release plate.
We use an Israeli arm to mount the Sony OLED monitor on board the camera.
So here's the Revolt F3 rig that Red Rock was so gracious to help us design.
Hope you guys have fun building one.
Thanks for watching, and I'll see you guys next time.
