The corner man's the guy that's in the corner to help the fighter.
That's what you're there for.
You feel the difference in the job now, don't Chris, he's got some pop to it.
You can't do the fighting for the fighter, but you're there to help him, whatever happens.
I don't want you to get hit, that's the whole idea.
You move over here, the guy ain't gonna hit you.
The gym to me is like going to dinner, the gym to me is like going to a movie.
It's fun.
I always had fun.
See that's the key.
If you have fun in what you do, you're gonna excel at it.
If you're not gonna have fun, you might as well forget it.
Just hold the chin, give you water.
I'm a water man.
Call you water boy, I'm water boy.
Muhammad Ali is the greatest because of what he did for boxing.
He got boxing where people started talking and he was the star.
He talked, I made him talk.
Because in the old days they say, my manager will do the talking, my cousin will do the
talking, the trainer.
Today you talk to the star, Muhammad.
This is Angelo Dundee's corner, I'm proud of it, I got it.
Did you see my five brothers here?
There's the Dundee brothers right here.
Ain't that nice?
Nice to see me, I'm the kid brother on the end.
It's nice, they remember you.
Hey, I ain't trying to do them, don't force nothing to be nice, right, that's Angelo.
That's my man here, but you can't live on the memory, you live for today.
And today I want, if I can add something, I want to add something, good boxing is a
great sport and I like to see it flourish like it did when I had a great time with Muhammad
and Ray Leonard, Costrano, Dupas, all my Cuban champions, a lot of fun and I want to see
you come back again.
When you take off a glove, never grab it here, grab it here, don't never grab here because
that's what breaks the glove.
First of all, I want to make 90, because then I'll say to be the oldest guy around, but
I don't know, like there's some older guys in me, but see, I'm forever young because
I'm always dealing with young people and that age doesn't, I have no barrier for that.
If it's a physical endeavor, I'm in trouble, I got no strength, I mean when you're 89
years old, you're not that slightly doing push-ups, but I'm physically, I'm not in
bad shape, I'm in good shape, but mentally I'm there.
Why?
I'm always talking to young kids, they keep me young and I got to keep up with them,
so mentally I'm not in bad shape.
Try, you can double up, you can double up, whatever you want, slide, boom, whatever's
open.
One advice I would give people, give it a shot, whatever you got going for you, you
got to give it a shot because if you don't give it a shot, then you can't look back
and say, hey, I should have tried it.
Give it a shot, if it's not going to be, it ain't going to be, but give whatever you're
doing at the time a good shot.
I don't kill it, no, it's tough.
I feel blessed, I feel lucky and I'm happy, I'm happy I've had the life I had and I hope
I hang around because I think I can add a little something.
