I honestly think this week has been one of the hardest weeks, and I think it's because
I've come through the realization that my best friend is leaving me, and let me tell
you, it hurts big time, okay?
I honestly don't look too cheery, just as my best friend, who best my role model and
my sister.
We've been there for each other through thick and thin, and we have shared a lot of tears
and a lot more laughter, and I know I won't be the person that I am today without her.
Jess.
I am giving up a lot today.
Cherie was the person I was supposed to grow old with, but she chose true love instead.
You better take care of her, because she's my whole world and I couldn't live without
her.
I couldn't be happier that the Lord brought you two together, and I wish you two the best,
and I always remember to keep God first in your marriage.
Cherie, I never thought this day would come where you would be leaving me.
It was just like yesterday, we were playing church in Muckl, and yes, I have been baptized
about 20 times, so I think I'm good to go.
We are both growing up and moving on our lives, but one thing that will never change is our
friendship.
I don't care how far apart we are from each other.
I truly am thankful for a sister like you, and I wouldn't have picked any other best
friend to have but you.
In the quiet hours of Eden, God saw that it was not good for man to be alone.
He made a help me suitable for him and established the right of marriage, while the heavenly
host witnessed this wonderful scene.
God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and from his side, he took a rib and made
him a wife.
He took her from under his arm that he might protect her.
He took her from above his feet that he might not step on her.
He also took her from next to his heart that he might love her.
Father, we love you and thank you for this day.
What a great day it is for this young man, this young woman.
We ask you to bless all that are involved, we ask you to bless all that have come to
show honor and friendship.
We ask you, Lord, for your presence, we ask you for your blessing upon this marriage in
Jesus' name.
I, Jess.
I, Charity.
Take thee, Charity.
Take thee, Jess.
To be my wedded wife.
To be my wedded husband.
To have and to hold.
To have and to hold.
From this day forward.
From this day forward.
From this day forward.
For better, for worse.
For better, for worse.
For richer, for poorer.
For richer, for poorer.
And sickness and in health.
And sickness and in health.
To love.
To love.
To cherish.
To cherish.
Till death do us part.
Till death do us part.
According to God's holy word.
According to God's holy word.
So having pledged your faith in and loved to each other and having invoked the blessing
of Almighty God and looking to heaven for his divine sanction.
Amen.
I now pronounce you, man or wife.
Now we don't kiss in this church, so.
Well we'll make one exception today you guys.
It all started one day after Sunday school.
I invited to my house to come play with me and since then we have been joined together
at the hip.
I've come to realize in life people come and go, but honestly I can say that Charity's
never left my side.
Charity would always make time for me even when I got on her nerves and she got on mine
too.
Okay.
But just like she's been there for me, I know she'll be there for Jess.
