Oh
I'm a singer and I moved to Berlin since, I mean, one year ago, and now I'm a singer.
And I moved to Berlin since, I mean, one year and six months ago.
It was a really nice experience for me.
After what I have seen there in Syria.
It's really difficult to explain that, but I believe that there is no family in Syria.
Each family in Syria has one guy killed, or one child killed, or one daughter killed, or one in the prison, for example.
How was that journey?
A lot of stress.
Just only two and a half hours, you know, but you don't know if you will die, or you will be on the other side, you don't know.
We arrived to Ukrainian, and we were like, I remember 3000, something like this.
Just, I mean, as much as you can see, people, just people, you know, and children, and old people as well.
And I remember that, it's really hurt when I remember that.
I'm with my group, with my friends there, and we start to sing together.
And people start to join us from everywhere, because there were a lot of people.
Until it was like a concert, you know, like a party, more than 200 people singing together.
I try to give the people hope, because this is now our message, you know, like I'm doing music now, but this is my message to the people here.
I'm going to tell them about my culture, about my country, about my people.
Do you feel integrated to society?
It's really a great question.
Actually, they integrated, before when we will integrate it, you know, they, a lot of them, they start to talk Arabic with us,
to give us just like that nice feeling, you know.
Arabic food, some souvenirs from Arabic place, they told us about their stories in Arabic place.
In Syria, Damascus, something like this.
And as I told you, in our concert, we try always to mix the music between Arabic style and European style.
So at least people, they will not understand the songs, what I'm going to sing, but at least they feel a lot, you know, music.
Scores of people are currently protesting in Berlin.
That's against Chancellor Merkel's migration policies and the government's security failures.
Over a million people arrived in the country last year.
The latest statistics say almost 200,000 people.
People who are not in agreement with Syrians or other refugees from other countries.
I would tell them, just look for the positive side from these refugees coming here.
What they change in this community now, what they're going to do, you know.
I don't know, God made us to love each other, why we hate each other like this, I don't know, really.
Good evening everybody, I'm very, very happy to be here tonight.
We're coming here to make some dance together, some sing together, maybe some piece together. Thank you.
Thank you.
