Well good morning everybody and happy Thursday. I actually know what day of
the week it is today. I apologize for being a few minutes late. It's kind of
been one of those mornings of craziness around here so thanks for still
joining in but I'm gonna take a little sip of coffee and then I'm we're gonna
do a little eyebrow tutorial today. As you can see I don't have my eyebrows on
right now which is a little bit scary but it is. So I'm excited to show you guys
some tips and tricks. So the couple tools that you're gonna need are a clean
little spoolie brush. You can buy these probably online. I mean Amazon has
everything these days don't they? Also you can get them at any makeup supply
store I'm sure Sally's Beauty Supply has them as well and then a q-tip just in
case you make a mistake clean q-tip and then this is one of my favorite brushes
when I use when I put my brows on it's from MAC it is number 208 again that's
number 208 from MAC and it's just a really small easy to use angled brush
and then of course you want your brow product. Now this one is my for my
personal makeup kit that I only use on myself and it's from Anastasia Beverly
Hills it's the auburn duo powder and as you can see I use this left side quite
often that's why it's not in my my professional kit it's my personal stuff
I would never let my product in my professional kit end up looking like
this but for me it's fine but this I like this a lot because sometimes in the
summertime my hair is usually a little bit lighter red in the winter time my
hair is a darker red so I like having the two different color options and then
if you want to get really fancy you can kind of do like a little ombre style
with the different colors by mixing them but we're not gonna work on doing that
today we're just gonna stick to the basics. So when it comes to eyebrows in
order to know kind of what shape and where you want your hair to be or how
you want the shape to be you want the end of your eyebrow if you take a pen or a in
this case a makeup brush and you line it up against the outside tip of your
nose you want that to start right right there and then if you take it at a 45
degree angle that's where you want your arch to be and then if you take it even
further out kind of towards your temple that's where you want the end of it to
stop and your tail if you will. So to fill these bad boys in and I have to fill
my brows in every day as you can see they're really light I mean I even I'm
gonna get a little bit closer here for you guys so they're a little bit lighter
than my hair I do get them tinted but there's just not enough hair there for
them to really make an impact so I do get them I do have to draw them on every
day and they're also really thin so that's another reason why I have to fill
them in to just get them a little bit thicker so yeah so we're gonna go ahead
and get started here so when I'm first starting off to draw my brows in I like
to create kind of an outline so let me just get this a little bit closer I want
you guys to be able to see what I'm doing and then so you're gonna take this
angled brush again it's number 208 from Mac and I'm gonna try and get closer
here and I like to start on the bottom and you want to create an outline so I'm
just gonna draw this line up trying to watch and make sure that you guys can
see at the same time that's kind of the trick of all this so as you can see I've
drawn a line underneath no Instagram brows here no no if that's what you're
looking for to stop watching because it's not gonna happen alright so now that
I've got that line up underneath I'm gonna start kind of filling them in a
little bit again just kind of using as if you've watched some of my other little
tip-and-trick videos just small little strokes and then if you need a little
bit more definition up on the top you can if you need a little bit more
definition on the top you can go in and draw a little line on the top to just to
give you that definition that you might want or need okay now for what I
consider to be the tricky part filling in that that front part of your eyebrow
good morning Heather so if you look at photos of people with great brows that
don't need to fill them in every day you will notice that the the tip of their
brow in this area isn't super dark and concentrated so that's what we want to
make sure that we're not making it too because then it looks unnatural so what
I like to do is again you want that tip to be right if you put a pen or a makeup
brush on the outside corner of your nose and go up that's where you want your
eyebrow to stop so that's where we're gonna stop it today and I just take the
tip so this just like this if I can get it to focus for you and I am just
brushing in towards my eyebrow to fill in that little corner
alright and again I'm using the Anastasia brow duo powder I prefer a
powder over a pencil because it looks more natural in my opinion you have to
find what works for you but I like powder for myself just it looks again it
just looks more natural sometimes with different I think you just kind of keep
filling them in okay sometimes with different pencils they can get kind of
waxy and then your eyebrows look like they're have a bunch of hair gel in them
and that's not necessarily if that's a look you're going for by all means go
for it but I prefer again I prefer just prefer the powder so I'm just adding a
little bit here and I made a little bit of a mistakes I'm gonna get my q-tip in
here and just trying to get close so you guys can see so you can see the
difference that it makes when I've got my brows on when I don't have my brows on
it's kind of creepy alright so I'm gonna do that other side and I'll walk you
through it again so taking just a little bit of the brow powder and I'm using the
lighter shade today just because it's summertime and my hair is a little bit
lighter and you want to pull the angle going this way that the most highest
point tip of the brush on the outside you can see so now I'm just gonna kind of
draw up and again creating that outline so that I know where to fill in and I
just had my brows waxed last week so I've got it's a little bit easier when
I've got a fresh wax because I've got that perfect perfectly shaped brow to
follow but as my hair starts to go back it's gets a little bit more
challenging okay and then I'm gonna go ahead and start filling them in kind of
following that line that we created that outline and the trick here is to not use
too much product if you do that's why we have the little spoolie and I'll take
you through that in just a second when we're all done here and then I am gonna
draw a little bit of an outline on top just to get a little bit of definition
on the top here kind of looking in the mirror and looking in the camera at the
same time to make sure you guys can see what I'm doing otherwise what's the point
okay the thing with eyebrows you guys is that they should be sisters not twins
I mean it's just nobody is the bionic human and not everybody's eyebrows are
you know they're not gonna be exactly perfectly symmetrical so don't spend an
hour on your eyebrows every morning just get get them as close as you can this
is my more tricky eyebrow and as you can see I've got a little bit of a bald spot
there just getting notifications here so I want to make sure I fill that in so
again kind of for the that tricky part and again I'm using the brush this way on
my eye okay
alrighty so I've got that pretty well set so now I'm gonna do the end part of
my brow and again outside corner is where we want it to be okay and again
this is kind of my tricky side because I don't have as much hair over here as I
do on the other side so we all kind of have that one eye or that one eyebrow or
whatever that's a little bit of a trick tricky challenge for us
hi Becky how are you happy Thursday
okay so you can see I'll get it a little bit I'll get it a little bit closer so
you guys can see maybe I'll just kind of hold it good morning on a heater how are
you dear okay so there we go now you guys can see what I'm doing I should
have been holding this the whole time sorry it's like hello good morning we
are up close and personal to my face all right so I need to add just a little
bit on this side you can kind of see that difference there
for me it's my this is kind of in my opinion the tricky part for my
particular face is getting these corners to be as symmetrical as you can I'm
kind of looking in my other mirror over here and just looking a little bit from
a distance okay so I think we're good so again the easiest way to start is to
start a line going this way underneath so you get that arch you get that shape
that you're looking for and then you go ahead and you start to fill it in if you
need more definition on the top you can do the same thing falling along the top
of your eyebrow and draw a line and just keep filling in and then when you go to
do the inside corner of your eyebrow I like to put the brush just flat like
this okay and sweep inward and again we want that to line up with the outside
corner of our nose we want the arch to be at a 45 degree angle from the corner
of our nose and then whatever not quite a 90 degree angle on that for the tail
if you will I was trying to think of the word that I was looking for for that okay
so for the finale I'm gonna go in with a clean little spoolie brush like this some
people if you have my brows are really fine so I don't know I'm gonna set you
back down again so I don't necessarily need to do any sort of brow gel or brow
wax on top but if you are somebody that if your brow hairs are a little bit more
textured and they have a mind of excuse me a mind of their own and they don't
like to stay in place throughout the day then you can certainly excuse me I've
got you can certainly then go in with like a clear brow gel or if you feel
like you need still a little bit more color it can use a colored brow gel in
my situation I would use a clear one just because I don't want to add any more
color to my eyebrows at this point so I'm just sweeping up just to remove any
excess color again this just the step makes them look a little bit more
natural and not so drawn on if you will so that is it you guys I'll pull you in
closer again so you can get a really good look at my eyebrows and this is
what I have to do every single day so I'm actually saving up my money to
potentially do the microblading because I as much as I love to put put my
brows on every day gets to be a little tedious so I'm potentially gonna look
into that okay we have a question okay if we darken too much best way to fix
or lighten so q-tip is your best friend especially if you make a little bit of a
mistake or need to clean up an area if you got an area too dark for example if
you got it too dark in here you can just take your q-tip and just give it a few
swipes to lighten it up or if like I've said with the little spoolie if you this
will remove any excess and you can kind of on a heater if you get it in too dark
in one area you can kind of wiggle the spoolie and that'll remove any extra
color as well Becky's saying oh yes it's worth it okay yeah you were telling me
about that so I am I think I might do it we'll see we'll see we'll see I've got a
couple great referrals from people in the industry for the microblading so I
may end up doing it we'll see any other questions waxing or threading it's
personal preference I am I'm a waxer I've been seeing the same girl now for
over two years and she does an awesome job out here in Minnetonka but I can
certainly give you guys any other referrals if you want to stay closer
into the metro I've never done threading so I can't necessarily speak to what
that experience is like but I've heard that it's more painful than waxing but
I've also heard from people that it's less painful than waxing so I think it's
again it's a personal preference thing I have quite a few Indian clients that
rave about threading and their eyebrows are beautiful so it's definitely
something worth looking into if you're interested in it but I just do waxing
because it's easy and that's just what I've always done any other questions on
eyebrows I know it's kind of you know eyebrows frame your face so it's one of
those things that's pretty important to most of us even even guys have been on
set for different things before and I have I'll have a groomsman or a client
come over and say hey can you quick put put a little something on my brows they
they're you know messed up or I need a little bit of something so on Megan says
yeah on the waxing and threading topic that she says I think it's what it's
you're used to she's done both so yeah definitely give it a whirl I don't like
to pluck I just I try not to everyone so I'll get like a rogue blonde hair or
something that my gal misses when she waxes and so then I'll pluck that out
but I don't like to do that it just it hurts way too much and I had a bad
experience as I think most of us did and like some of the eighth grade with that
so I just don't do that anymore cool okay well I'm gonna let you guys go and I
hope you have an awesome day if you want more tips and tricks go over to
