There's something about metal it's not always easy to explain what it is that draws you
to the music but you know everyone told me yeah yeah you're young now so you know you
like music but when you turn 23, 24 and you know you'll forget it and it'll be a fail.
And you know I'm here today still listening to metal so it's not quite a phase you know
it's a lifestyle it's part of who you are.
I actually wanted to be a chef that was my goal in life my granddad used to cook quite
a bit and my mom's also a very good cook so they've always been people around me cooking
good food and you know I enjoy eating food so I also learned to make it somewhere along
the way.
So I started writing a blog about it about three years ago on Facebook and a lot of good
comments and stuff you know inspired me to take that to the next level and do a video
of it.
We got head bangers kitchen today looking as good as it does being a well produced show
that you know fuses both my passion for food and heavy metal.
The traditional Indian it's the daughters of the women of the house who cook and the
men who don't but my family's never been orthodox or normal in any way so I've always
been encouraged to do what I like you know be it cooking or play music or acting or anything
you know so it was never an unnatural thing or a weird thing for me in fact it's weird
for me when someone says oh it's a girl thing to cook.
I cook not only non-vegetarian food but a lot of continental cuisine and very less of
the Indian food because again that's the food I grew up eating you know my mom would make
cheese macaroni and lemon pepper chicken and my granddad would make spare ribs and
I mean when you ever get to see your favorite metal star in this context you know when you
get to see them eating food you always see them on stage all rargh and then you know
now here you're having a casual interview and they're actually enjoying food and eating
it you know so it's different and it's I think an interesting concept.
I do hope to monetize the show in the future you know bring on board some partners and
actually make this maybe say this is my job you know posting a heavy metal provincial
and accent.
Hey welcome to Headbanger's Kitchen.
