All right, how you doing everybody?
So March 2nd, 2015, the Happy Together show went down to Plant City, Florida to play the
Strawberry Festival.
This is what's known in our business as a one-off.
And the lineup on that show was the Turtles, Gary Lewis, Gary U.S. Bonds, Gary Puckett,
and Chuck Negron.
And of course, the House Band, the Godfrey Townsend Band myself, Godfrey Townsend on
guitar, Steve Murphy on drums, Manny Focurazzo on keys.
We flew in the night before, we flew home the day after, in and out, wham, bam, thank
you ma'am, and it looked like this.
We were on the ground at JFK for roughly five hours, something like that, while they were
de-icing the plane.
And I got a leg cramp sitting there.
So I got some quinine to help it.
It's a scorpion up right here.
Rear unpleasant danger.
Rear unpleasant.
Rear unpleasant.
Oh, okay.
Rear unpleasant.
Rear empty right here.
Yeah, they make the best milk shake, strawberry shortcake in the state.
So is it a stupid question that has lost rubber as we're around here?
No, we truck them in.
We truck them in.
We truck them in.
Detroit.
Open the door, Jim Ponds is stuck outside, he probably doesn't know where we are, hey,
I have a couple, we need to sit down and talk through the stuff.
Yes.
We'll probably play them onto that.
7.29 minutes.
7.29 minutes.
7.29 minutes.
You want? How pretty are you? Look at all your girls out. Oh my goodness. Is that nice? And that's Miss Who? Oh, the Strawberry Queen. She come to my neighborhood.
We got a watermelon queen. That's not true. That's not true. You believe anything, won't you?
How's everybody tonight? Great show, right?
We're glad you're here.
Alright, everybody, here we go.
We were supposed to be cancelled and then rebooked on a flight at 9.15 and getting in at, like, midnight, and we got a standby flight. So now we're actually home.
7.29 minutes.
7.29 minutes.
