I would say I'm one of Oprah's lifetime ultimate fans.
For me growing up I would watch Oprah and I would record it every day and really watching
her just be herself made me want to be myself and discover what was my calling because that
was the message through the show.
Thousands of screaming fans and raptures and there were tears as local fans caught a glimpse
of the talk show queen.
I got to Fedsquen there was just flags everywhere with Oprah on it you know the city had really
come to life.
It was just unbelievable that I got to finally see Oprah.
There's the crowd on the day and you can't see my face but I'm near the front.
The hysteria behind me I didn't realize because I was focused on her on the stage.
I've never seen a welcome like this in my life nothing like this in my life.
The TV is really a lifeline for a lot of people and it was for me you know like a high school
for me wasn't a pleasant experience but I'd come home and I'd watch things and I'd watch
people reinvent themselves and that's what it was that you could reinvent your life and
be something else than play a victim to what you're experiencing at the time.
I cannot say there's an area in my life that hasn't been impacted by the show.
And the rules book which got me my man my husband I did genuinely follow those rules
and I thought when those women came on the show Alan and Sheree and I thought I'm going
to buy this book and the next man I date I'm going to try them on and so we've been married
now 14 years and two kids later so that's another testament to the show.
My husband says what's with Oprah what's with Oprah so nobody understands unless they've
really watched it.
Because I was so overwhelmed I didn't even make a poster or anything and I thought Oprah's
coming I haven't got anything to put up so there was a lady with the text and I said
to her can I borrow your texta.
I wrote Oprah in big letters down my arms so it was just magical to be there with all
the people that loved her as much as me.
What Feds Where does is it gives people the opportunity to come out and come together
you know whether it's an Oprah event or whether it's some other event.
My story is that really you don't have to be a victim you can change and reinvent and
follow your passion if you really want to do something I believe in the law of attraction
that if you just take your step the next step will follow.
Thank you everyone for coming thank you so much.
