Hi there, Myra Hemsley Paxdale TV here with the legendary one, The Voice, Lee Bailey himself
here in Inglewood, California at the Memorial Service for Gerald Busby.
Now Lee, you go way back, you go way, way back.
Yeah, back to the, well, God, I guess it would be the late 70s, early 80s with Gerald, if
not before.
Yeah, you know what, I think I go back to the 70s.
When I first came to LA in 75, this is when I met Gerald, it was a 70, yeah, 1975, this
is when I, when I moved to LA, I was a jock at the original K-Day, back in the day, yeah.
And Gerald, of course, was a, he was a local promotion man.
So yeah, now when I think about it, we go way, way, way back.
So you guys, the little Gerald Busby stories, we're getting these, all these people are
telling wonderful, we met with one of his chauffeurs who drove limos for him and different
people who've known him, so tell us, Lee.
Well, you know, there's so many stories that people can tell about Gerald, I just want
to say that overall, he was a beautiful man, just an incredible person, beautiful spirit.
He just gave and gave and gave and gave and gave.
And on top of that, he, I can't put it any way than that, he was just a nice person.
Although one thing I remember about him, he was a messy eater.
Now tell us, come on, come on.
You go to dinner with Gerald, and it was like a little kid that got through eating, because
there was just food everywhere, and he confessed one time, he said, I have never been able
to eat without making a mess.
We do, we was going to call him on it, because if he had one quote unquote failing, that
would be it.
That he was a messy eater, but that's about the end, and that's nothing in the scheme
of things, because like I say, he helped me with my career in so many different ways.
He helped, but I think that's why you have so many people here.
He just helped people, plus it was hard to not like him, he was again a beautiful person.
He liked Gerald, just that simple.
So I can't put it any simpler than that, just we've lost a good one, a real, real good man,
period.
All right everybody, here we are with Lee Bailey, the legendary Lee Bailey, the voice
of the urweb.com, the urweb.tv, here with us at PAX Stereo TV, the memorial service in
Inglewood, California for Gerald Busby, a legendary figure, and here we have another icon.
Thank you, Lee.
You're welcome, Mario.
