I got wrangled into painting, the ceiling.
I was roped into painting the house twice, the entryway, twice.
Ceiling painting, never particularly great.
When Michelle decides she wants to do a gold leaf pattern on the ceiling, less great.
When we kind of first got here, I thought I'd get my mom to come up and help me painting
wise.
She had her do the foyer, a beautiful overscale faux-bois pattern in this sort of almost electric
blue, and it was really pretty.
Then I had her repaint the entire thing, because the electric blue was just not working for
me.
So now it's mint green, and it's got sort of a chinoiserie scene happening, and that's
really pretty.
That looks really nice.
And in the foyer, the other thing I did was this really kind of great pattern stain stencil.
And that looks really beautiful.
Justin still is, you know, with the money.
I've had to have our friends from Atlanta come visit and paint for me, you know, because
I can't hire painters.
My husband painted the ceiling in their living room, gold.
And I'm sure she has designs on him painting the rest of her living room and dining room
in gold as well.
I mean, the progress has really mostly been with, you know, paint and furniture locations.
And when I first came in here, there was still stuff in boxes, and they were still unpacking
and figuring out, you know, what Michelle and Justin have unpacked and where they've
decided to place those things, the mementos and all the little pieces and accents that
make a room that fill it out that I would never think of.
A little more work needs to be done in there, but again, leaving it sort of not quite finished
to irritate my husband so that he might pop with some more money just to get it done,
you know.
Now that I have all this property, of course, the first thing the kids are like, dogs, dogs,
dogs.
And I'm like, no, no, no.
And eventually they wore me down.
We then got two dogs, which is not working out too great.
Of course, they would just escape immediately.
It's like this constant struggle of, like, where are they escaping?
And I don't watch them.
And I like, where did they get out?
They're going over to another property that has horses and little miniature donkeys.
And one of the dogs is attacking the donkeys.
Not ferociously, but she's hurting them, but biting them also.
And our neighbors are not too happy with us.
My name is Debbie Tringale.
Here we come.
Well, I'm a dog trainer, but I specialize in crazy over the top.
I like to call them special needs dogs.
So I don't generally do sit down, come and stay.
I do, oh, my dog is attacking people.
Can you get up in the drum?
That was terrific.
And that's what a lot of dog training really is, is just teaching them what to do instead.
So what's your goal for her?
I mean, well, I want her to not go bite other animals in the neighborhood, you know.
I want her to not.
Well, but that's not what I said.
Right.
What do you want her to do instead?
I want her to lay about.
All right, well then, well then you need a different dog.
You need a different dog.
Okay, I'm leaving.
Since I've been here, it's been obviously an adjustment for work.
Love you.
I'm from home and that's our office isn't done yet.
It's kind of in the walkout basement area, which I like to call the dungeon.
So I work down there, but then I go back out to California one week, pretty much every
month.
All right, anyone else?
Bye.
There's helicopters and there's a lot of noise and a lot of light pollution.
It's very comforting to me to kind of recharge, you know what I mean?
Back in the city so that I can come back out to the stresses of the country life.
You know, when Justin goes out of town, it is a little hard not to have him here just
emotionally, you know, whatever for a week.
He gets to go stay at the company apartment and sort of live like the single guy life.
I'm sure he's enjoying himself.
I think the whole property is really kind of breeds a sigh of relief when I go away.
Like it just feels like that stress of having me here managing it is kind of off and everyone
can kind of relax.
I think the chickens actually lay more eggs when I'm gone.
