As a filmmaker, an award-winning filmmaker at that, I see every opportunity as an opportunity
to tell a story, especially on family vacations. A real artist never goes on vacation, at least
not up here.
Having a dad as a filmmaker, a documentary filmmaker can really suck when you go on family outings.
Ever since he's won a few awards for his documentary films, he's changed. I mean, they
weren't even major film bustles. At first, we were happy for him, but if I knew it would
have changed him like it has, I wish it never happened.
It's been a bit of a transition for my family, but I mean, it's not like we don't have any
fun. There's just a little more work involved now.
Alright guys, I need you guys to pick up the energy a little bit. I'm not getting a whole
lot of energy here. I mean, this is, you know, the big time. This is a high definition.
My dad has a way of taking all the fun out of a family trip. He's my husband and I love
him, but it's like I don't even know him anymore.
They might not appreciate it right now, but over the years, they'll get it. And they'll
thank me for it, with tears in their eyes. And guess what I'm going to say? I told you
so.
I'm Dan Perez, and I make moves.
That's what I do, and I love it.
