Done down, done done do do do, done down
Done, done done do do, done down
Done, done done do doing, done done
God of death, celebrate humanity and when you love, love unconditionally
But the world begins when they smile, go out there and give it a try
Celebrate humanity and when you love, love unconditionally
But the world begins when they smile, go out there and give it a try
Peace, love, happiness is what we need
Peace, love, happiness is what we need
Peace, love and happiness is what we need
Peace, love, happiness
I pray that as soon as you hear the song, you'll feel a wave of love
And that you reach out to spread love like a soaring down
The pure love that comes from above
Without peace, love and happiness you won't survive
May the good Lord continue to bless you and those around you
Know that He loves you, yeah that's why we say
We will never be apart if you find it in our hearts
To celebrate humanity and when you love, love unconditionally
But the world begins when they smile, go out there and give it a try
Celebrate humanity and when you love, love unconditionally
But the world begins when they smile, go out there and give it a try
Fall in all the nations and they're born from different races
Stand up and make some changes for the rest of the human nation
So compassion, let it happen
It might not be easy but I know you can
People want to get the freedom
Love the neighbor, treat him like your brother
We love you and love unconditionally
But the world begins when they smile, go out there and give it a try
We are one
Because
We are one
You and I, we are
We are one
You and I, we are
We are one
We are one
We are one
Yeah, as a people, we are one
We are one
We are one
We are one
We are one
The union island, we are one
We are one
Yeah
Oh yeah
Oh yeah
Oh yeah
Oh yeah
Oh yeah
Oh yeah
Oh yeah
Oh yeah
We are one
The group on stage is called The Soil
And we come all the way from heaven but locally based in Soil
Yes, we are angels
This is how angels look like
So right after God created us, He planted us in South Africa
That's where we come from
I've introduced the group on my far right, which is your left
We have the greatest beatboxer of all time
And his name is Master P
And of course, this beautiful young lady standing right next to me
She is the incredible vocalist that we've ever met
She's young, she's only 17 by the way
I'm kidding, she's 20
I'm 17
Her name is The Your Songstress Matron
And we, I am the next president of the Republic of South Africa
And my name is Tika Finamanda
The group started in 2004 in public secondary schools
That we all went to
We attended that same school and we started this culture of just singing
Every time when we met
Even during school holidays, we wanted to do this
And we started rehearsing outside of school
And it just became this amazing thing that stayed in our hearts
And the members that you see now are the people that are left basically
That had the vision for the group, for the soil
Because there were 25 members back in high school
But other people just went away
Just didn't have the same vision that we had
But to see that we stayed together for this long
And we are continuing to perform in all these amazing world stages
It's good because we envisioned that thing back in high school
It is an age of electronics
And everyone just using amazing gadgets to make music
But we know that music fundamentally starts with the most basic tool
And that's our voices
And people use their voices
They've been using their voices from the beginning of time to produce music
And when you look at South Africa
We have given birth to amazing vocalists
The likes of the late Mamu Mirema Keba
Lady Smith, Black Mambazo
We've had amazing vocalists
And we are trying to continue that heritage
Eleven years being together
And our career started to pick up in 2010
Where we started to tour and go to Africa, China and Europe
And all these big stages
And which was our dream
We always wanted to perform in world stages like now
And we are so grateful of that
Yeah, it is a great adventure
I mean you get to experience a lot of things
And you see different people
And how people live in their own countries
And how warm they are
And the nature on its own
It's beautiful, man
I have a family
And it's not really a problem
You do miss them
But they are also your support structure
They know how much this music thing means to us
And they know that it's not just music to us
It's more of a spiritual connection
It's part of a bigger cause
We feel like music activists of some sort
And it's really nice to know that we are counted amongst
People that carry their national pride back at home
And it's very amazing, man
I mean being away from them for a little time
It's worth the sacrifice
Cause the music, once you perform it to someone
For an audience, it lives with them forever
Then you go back to your family
But you know that the work that you put in
Will continue to resonate
Each and every time
People listen or remember that moment
When they saw you guys perform
So it's worth it
There's 11 official languages in South Africa
So our music is sung in different languages
We have a song called Joy
There's another song called Celebrate Humanity
Getting everyone to be in one spirit
And proving to everyone that we are one
Irrespective of our skin colour
Irrespective of our language barriers
But we all possess a spirit in our souls
If you are spiritual and you believe in God like we do
We know that we are all human beings
Fundamentally we all can smile
We all can see, we all can laugh when something is good
Yeah, we all feel pain, we all feel anger
That's fundamentally how human beings are
And we come from the same source
You can call it higher power
You can call it the universe
We call it God
That's exactly the spiritual element that comes into
Our music when we write
We always remember that as a people we are one
I haven't been doing this for long
Because I am the new member of the band
So I had to replace her
And being on stage with these guys is really great
Because it's something that I never thought I would experience
So early in my life
