I'm Karen Skinner. I've been on the UVET team for just over two years. We work a lot in
the summer so we fly local to the area where we live. But in the winter months we travel
a lot in the van just discovering new areas. I consider myself a normal average A pilot
that likes just going a little bit extra, a little bit, you know, record hunting and
try my hand at competitions. So for me it's really important to have a very stable wing.
I've been flying the Cougar 1, the first Cougar that came out, more or less when it
first came onto the market. And obviously now I'm with the Cougar 2. I did try the wing before
it was released and yeah landed with a big smile on my face. Obviously it's got the
rammet intake just below the leading edge which makes it a much more stable wing. It also has
reflex. You can turn easy with it. It's got the toggles turning system so you can be full speed
with the wing and find it very easy to turn. And then at full speed, so obviously with trims open
and full acceleration, toggle system, just touching just slightly, it gives you very easy turning.
It's not a demanding wing. It's not a wing that you have to be constantly piloting. You can put
full speed and just relax.
I never take off without my camera but I always fly with a camera. If I don't actually fly with it,
I feel strange. I want to share this but I can't believe there's not more of us up there flying
so I do take a lot of pictures. That's part of my adventures.
Paramotor for me is freedom. I'm a bird. It's freedom. You can just go where you want.
You travel, you've got your airplane in your car which is a luxury.
With the Cougar 2, it's not a great all-round wing. You don't need to have two gliders now.
You can have just that one wing for competition and for adventure flying.
Everything that I want to achieve in this sport, I can get with this wing.
The Cougar 2 will keep me up there, breaking records.
