What's going on is Coach Uproar, TKOMG.net, I'm here for Aesthetic Shop, here in Williamsburg,
Brooklyn.
We're going to sit down with Carlos of Classic Material, talking about everything he got going
on and some exclusive news he got for us.
What's going on, TKOMG.net, I'm here with Lose, Carlos, Classic Material we had at the
yard of Aesthetic.
What's going on, man?
Peace, peace.
Nice to meet you, man.
Now, the thing is, it's funny, because I always see random places or whatever, you
know, like repping the brand, I want to come and introduce myself, but I want to come off
too strong or whatever.
It's all good, man.
It's like, you can approach me anytime you want, man.
All right, and it's cool.
Last year, I found about this store, my friend of mine, TKOMG.net, I had an art shop.
And then I started to notice the hats and stuff like that, and then I'm searching online
or whatever, where I could find these hats and whatnot, and the buck is my boy, Dose.
He's like, yo, that's Lose, some good friends of mine, all right, cool.
That's a homie.
Yeah, you know what I'm saying?
So, people all want to know, how did you get started at first?
Well, I started, like, in 98, I opened up my own store, but it was outside of other people's
brands.
Yeah.
So, being like that, I was like, it was time to, you got to do progressions.
So, I'm like, I'm tired of selling everybody's stuff, triple-five sold, that's when, well,
that was five years.
So, I'm like, you know what, it's time to do my own thing.
So, that's how it all started, like, about 10 years ago.
So, I started dropping one shirt here, one shirt there, and just to go.
I know also, like, a lot of you, like, your hats, your t-shirts, or hip-hop inspired,
like, so what's your, like, creative process, you, like, just put on, like, you just play
that music, all of a sudden, like, yo, that line is dope.
Can you write that down?
Yeah, nah, it's funny because I could be driving in my car, and I'm hearing something and I'm
like, someone would just click, and I'm like, oh, man, I'm watching a movie, and I see a
scene, and I'm like, yo, that's dope, I need a sample, and I try to keep it, like, all
New York-oriented, always old New York, man, like, you know, like, the new New Yorkers,
the New Yorkers whack, man.
It ain't New York anymore.
Yeah, like, a lot of New York, these days, they didn't even sell like New York, they
sell, like, a little bit of down south, a little bit of West Coast, you know.
Yeah, man, it's crazy, it's crazy.
So, I just try to keep it spot on the old stuff, and bring it to the like, you know,
so that way the young kids that appreciate it, appreciate it now as well.
Yeah.
And also another question I want to ask, you recently dropped the Biggie Jay-Z or Nas to
you.
Oh, man, that's, I can't take full credit for that, because I was, myself and my friend
Sneaker Joe, we, he does the parties, so I joined up with him on the party tip with
the Biggie Jay-Z Nas, and he had to fly with the three medallions, and I'm like, we need
to put that on a T-shirt, and we had that idea for like a year, trying to find different
artists that could put it together for us, and then we connected with my boy on PJ,
Born Kings, and he hooked it up for me, and it was a success after that.
Now, I'm asking this question though, in order, Biggie Jay-Z or Nas?
Mm, Biggie Jay-Z in now, that's how it goes.
Brooklyn, right?
Yeah, come on, man.
I'll keep it Brooklyn.
I'll keep it Brooklyn.
Biggie's two of our first albums were massive pieces.
True that, true that.
Biggie Jay-Z, he hasn't dropped a dud yet, so Nas was, after Elmatic, it was like, it
was written, it was dope, and after that, I was like, I'm out of fast forward material.
No disrespect, Nas is a goat, but you know, that's just my opinion, if I get, if I get
tackled on the internet, like, oh, it sucks.
Nah, no, honestly, with that question right there, you can't go wrong either way, you
can't go wrong.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's my opinion.
But at the end of the day, it's like, you can't be mad at anyone wanting to be in that
company.
Yeah, yeah, of course.
You know what I'm saying?
I don't know what's out there.
You also want to know, like, what other projects that you have coming out that you want folks
to know about?
All right, this is, I'm revealing it here for the first time.
All right.
November 10th, I'm doing a Calito's Way, 23rd anniversary, I'm doing two t-shirts, and
a party.
Oh, okay.
I'm going to drop it at the party, I'm going to drop it at the store.
Oh, okay, okay.
So yeah, come and get at the party, and it's going to be around here in Williamsburg.
Oh, okay.
Yeah, the velvet room.
It's going to be there.

can they hit you up on, social media for Fresh Static, and for Classic Material.
