Right now I feel like lying in the cage and I'm just waiting to get out and eat everything.
Because that's the only thing I want to do, so I have a driving force.
I'm just going to go out and perform and sing and squeeze my profession as much as I can.
Because I am enjoying each and every moment.
I was born and raised in Spain, in a small town called Santander, a beautiful city by the sea in the north.
One of my first memories as a kid was when I was five years old and I remember telling my mom,
mom when I grew up I wanted to be an American actor, which is really funny coming from a Spanish kid.
But what I'm trying to say is that at a very early age I knew that I wanted to entertain,
I knew that I wanted to be on stage and jump out of the box.
I moved to Madrid to start my acting career and then due to a scholarship I went to New York
to continue my acting studies at the Lees-Trasbourg Theatre and Film Institute.
But even though I wanted to be an actor, I was always singing with local bands or playing guitar or writing songs.
So I realized that I was spending more time working on my music.
I like the good old-fashioned sound, artists like Rita Franklin, Frank Sinatra,
or Ella Fitzgerald, Eric Yames, Ray Charles, Ellen Suppressley.
I like that era, the 50s, 60s, 70s.
I've always listened to a lot of music.
At home my parents used to have a white collection of records, from Latin music, rock, pop, soul, to opera, classical music, jazz.
I love powerful voices and it goes beyond your style.
I've been influenced by American music in great part of the past and I think you hear in my voice and in the way I sing.
I love performing live. Besides being in the studio recording, the stage is what I'm most excited about.
With this record, I want to go out and perform. I want to sing on stage as much as possible and I want to share with my audience.
It's a great experience sharing the songs with them and seeing how they like what you're doing.
The only thing I have to say to them is thank you and I hope to be at your service for a long, long time.
The best is yet to come.
