Hey, how you doing? This is Sue, and it's been a while, and I want to say hello and for those in the states, happy Thanksgiving.
It's good to have some days off this week, and I had one day off already and the next two I have off.
And that's awesome. And getting together with family tomorrow and running errands on Friday. I don't shop on Black Friday. I don't.
I'm just not, I just have never done that camping out, waiting for the store to open kind of deal, so that's not me.
I hope you're all doing well. I'm doing okay. I'm hanging in there. And those of you on Facebook might have seen that my new bicycle and I had a run in.
Basically, I thought the last time I got up on a bike, it was fine and I could ride and not be too bad. But this time, it was like I was learning all over again, which is really weird.
And then so I tried, part of it was balance. So I went and put the bike with me on it next to the car so I could kind of hang onto the car, but also get a sense of the balance I need to have on the bike.
And I kind of toodled all the way around the car hanging onto it. Yeah, it did look pretty dumb.
And basically, when I was tired enough to get off the bike, something happened.
The bicycle and I kind of fell over. And so the right side of my body is kind of sore. The elbow took the big hit, but my hand, my elbow, my shoulder, my neck, my knee all got a little torqued in this issue.
So depending on the weather, once I'm done with errands, or even before I do the errands, I don't know.
Sometime Friday or Saturday, I'm going to try and get up on her again. I don't know if I need to go into the history of bikes, but I had a bike stolen years and years ago.
And then a bike appeared in my yard a few years ago for no reason. And no one ever asked about it. I finally got rid of that and decided to get my own.
I got a Schwinn Mifflin. This is a model that is discontinued. So it was a great deal. However, the instruction didn't include the front fender.
And there's a problem with the front fender that I would not have seen if I hadn't fallen with the bike. So at least I know where that little scrape sound was every time the wheel went.
Now I know where it is. And I can work on that over the weekend.
Some of you may wonder, why the hell are you getting up on a bike? I've missed it. And I'm not going to go touring the USA.
I'm just going to try and go around the block sometime in the next month, even though snow is coming.
This is not exactly the time of year to start a bike thing. I understand that, but it was a really good deal. And it's a really nice bike.
It's a hybrid bike, and I've never had a hybrid bike. And apparently it's good for commuters.
I'm not going to be doing that either. If I can make it to the nearest gas station to get some more air in the front tire, that would be great.
I have a bicycle pump here somewhere. Somewhere. That's the problem, so anyway.
I just wanted to wish all a happy holiday. Happy Thanksgiving, and we have holidays coming up, and all sorts of them.
And I hope everyone has a good holiday season. I know some people personally that are not having a very good holiday season right now.
That I hope all of yours are fine, and event-free, and just pleasant.
And I'm not going to talk about the election. Maybe some other time.
You have a good holiday, have a great weekend, and hopefully I'll talk to you later. Thanks. Bye-bye.
