My name is Ryan Bolter. I am 18 years of age.
Nice. I don't know what difference it will make. I feel like I don't know shit.
My name is Patrick Jeffrey. I actually just turned 18 yesterday.
We had elections in a month and I'm going to be right there getting my message across.
The way I look at it, if you're going to complain, you've got to vote.
And if you don't vote, then why are you going to complain?
Because you're not doing anything about it, you're just complaining for the sake of complaining.
I think for a lot of young voters, it might be that there's a lot of confusion around what the governments will do.
And so they're unclear about who they would even want to represent their values.
Canada? I like the fact that I'm not necessarily right now, but surrounded by many different cultures.
Shouldn't everything kind of be revolved around the earth, not just selfish people?
There's probably lots of different reasons. I was talking to a German woman and she said that
Canada is a new country and we haven't done a great deal that has been really terrible.
And she says in their history that they know that they have to keep watch and be on guard of their government at all times.
And so if anything happens that they don't like, they're out in the street right away.
And they are just on their government at all times.
It felt really great to get together with people who are voicing their opinions on what they find acceptable
and what they don't find acceptable. And also gathering people is a great way of networking to see
what kind of Canada and creating that vision for ourselves.
And that way we can hopefully grow the vision with more people and transfer that to our politicians
who can take action on a larger scale.
Really what we want is for people to come out and vote. We want people to get informed.
This rally, we're not telling anyone to vote for any particular party.
It's even more important to make sure that I make a change.
Even if I just affect one person, I've affected one person.
Because it is a democratic country and it should be and we should have a voice.
I hope a lot of people vote. I think the more people that vote the better it is for the good side.
I probably will vote after this just because you're here right now and I appreciate that.
you
