Oh
Okay, everyone, it's your host, Leo D. Dawson, with Beauty Within TV, and next to me is
the amazing Stacey Eagle fashion designer for the full-fledged 3,000-year-old team.
Oh my God.
How are you?
I'm good.
I'm good.
How are you doing right now?
I'm trying to breathe before the craziness, but I'm going to ask how, you know, I'm trying
to do it, because that's the most important thing.
I think so.
I think so.
I think I'm doing well.
I think it's going to be a great show.
I'm excited, and everything's sort of rolling right now.
We're getting things prepared.
We've got to dress a lot of girls.
I still have to look at everybody, but we're going.
We're moving.
What's going to be very different this season?
Well, this particular season, I'm launching a university line, a kid's line, and my name
is Lea LaValle.
I have three collections.
It's called The Invasion Collection, and it's three separate lines going down the runway
at the same time, but all infused with the same characteristic of what the brand means.
The inspiration of the line for this particular season is the Brit Pot scene of the 90s.
I've got Spice Girls opening the show, and then I'm fusing some other, you'll have to
wait and see music.
Then I actually have The Invasion of Lea LaValle, which is our live performance that's happening
today, Lea LaValle.
She's performing her song, produced by Pharrell, called Lolita, for the first time in a year.
It's about empowering women and standing up for what you believe in, and showing that
from age of five to, you know, the sky's the limit.
How did you get the name Boy Meets the Girl?
Well, actually, it's so funny.
I own the word Boy Meets the Girl.
How cool is that?
Well, actually, it was inspired by, the silhouette is inspired by, my first time, I had this
picture of myself when I was younger, and I met my boyfriend to see how my husband
was for the first time.
Aw.
Not my first time.
He's my husband.
And we had a silhouette on this wall, and I was going to dinner at his house, and I was
like, Boy Meets the Girl.
I'm like, you know that time in your life, and you've met someone for the first time,
this energy, and the rest is history.
That was the name.
I love the texture.
I love what you did.
What inspired you to do such a teasing kind of look for both adults and children?
Well, it's more for the kids.
I mean, everyone gets fun and playful for the kids.
Yes.
So, you know, a nice little ponytail is always cute and cute, but we would say, like, let's
push it a little bit more.
Yeah.
So let's, like, tease it up and give it some texture and make it fuller and fun so it's
not bounces around when they're on the runway.
That type of thing.
So it was more playful for the kids.
And then to have the hair accessories in it was that sort of thing.
You're absolutely an inspiration to so many young girls who are suffering bullying, whether
it's for acne or for weights, just hang in there, watch Cassandra.
She will definitely change your mind, and she'll give you the support and inspiration
that you need to continue life.
Is that correct?
Yes.
Well, it's hard when you feel so alone.
And, you know, I've been there.
I've felt that.
And, you know, if it's not only what I love about bully vests, it's not only children,
but it's teens and it's adults.
You know, gossip and the carpooling, gossip between friends or among adults, it can still
hurt, and it can be to the point of bullying.
And, you know, I always say I hate to say this and I would never call myself a bully.
But there are moments where I have looked in my past and I said in that moment I was
bullying someone.
I'm Rosario Dawson with the lovely Ms. Dawson on the air tomorrow.
