Winning is simply a mindset.
A mindset, however, that is only developed by outstanding individuals.
It's not about talent, it's about effort.
Effort will get you the win when the talent is having a rest day.
Effort will drive you home when everyone expects you to give up.
Effort will drag you from the canvas when you have been knocked out by life.
Winning is not some special reward only reserved for the lucky among us.
If you ask all the failures, they will tell you it is luck, but it's not.
Winning is a reward you receive when you have put in the hard work, when no one is watching.
Winning is for champion attitudes and champion hearts.
This is theme music, this is dream music, this is that gig-free music, this is a gangstore for violin, this is noise and silence, this is art, it fills you.
My name is Kiran and I've been training for about 70 years in BGJ and now for the past
three years I've been training here at Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy Amsterdam.
It's a gym that I started together with my friend Remo and we're part of Team Checkmat
and basically I do all my training sessions here.
We also have a lot of black belts from Checkmat coming over and they push the training sessions
with us but overall we have a really nice level here, a lot of new persons join and we have
great experienced people from white belt up to brown belt so everybody is always training
really well and pushing each other so in the local scene I've won quite a lot of tournaments
in my weight category so I've been champion at the Dutch Open, Flavor Open, The Holland
Open, basically all the Dutch tournaments in my weight I've won and White, Blue and
Purple belt, also I've won some international tournaments like the IPGF Berlin Open in
Guy and Noggy, the Abu Dhabi Trials, I've won in Holland and Germany and what I plan
to do is try to go more for a big international title so I always try to focus on the Europeans,
it brings out the best competitors all over from Europe and even competitors from America
and Brazil are coming there so in Europe that's the biggest tournament and getting a medal
on that stage would be one of my biggest accomplishments so that's what I'm striving for.
My name is Emad Ombrado, I'm from the Netherlands and I'm from the Netherlands and I'm from
Emad Ombrado, I'm 21 years old and I'm from Stockholm Sweden.
I am fighting for Prana Jiu Jitsu and I represent the E-Taste.
My best accomplishments were in Purple belt where I took silver in Abu Dhabi and silver
in the Europeans, both in the lightweight category, yeah so now I got my brown belt
and we'll see how that will go.
What Brazilian Jiu Jitsu gave to me was more than just the Jiu Jitsu as well, it was being
accepted into a group, being able to train with cool guys, being able to, like I'm not
going to go really deep and say it gave me a meaning in life, like I would probably have
a meaning in life doing something else as well but it gave me a mission, you know, that's
what I would say.
So my life is, my journey in life is about Jiu Jitsu and it's all about becoming better.
But more or less it gave me my life today.
Jiu Jitsu, Jiu Jitsu, Jiu Jitsu, Jiu Jitsu.
Jiu Jitsu, Jiu Jitsu, Jiu Jitsu.
Jiu Jitsu, Jiu Jitsu, Jiu Jitsu, Jiu Jitsu.
Hi guys, my name is Dario Acusa, I live and train in Prague, Czech Republic, in Jungle
BGJ Academy by Fernando Araujo.
I train Jiu Jitsu for about six years, competition, I think most, what I like is the World Pro
because it's a very good organization, very good prize money and best fighters from all
over the world and also competition in Brazil.
And I think Jiu Jitsu really changed my life, it gave me a lot of friends.
Hi, my name is Martin Bowens, I'm from Belgium, but I compete for the Swedish team, Prana Jiu Jitsu.
As I said, I'm from Belgium, so I train everywhere I can in Belgium.
I recently got my proper belt in Stockholm, in Sweden, it was very good.
I was blue belt for three years, did pretty good last year, we got second in Europeans
and I won gold in the Abu Dhabi World Crew this year, so I hope now that I'm just promoted
to purple belt to do the same thing this year.
I want to go to the Europeans again, do some IBJFs and maybe go to the Worlds in June.
For Jiu Jitsu, it's been a great part of my life, last four years.
It helps me really good with de-stressing, keeps my focus in the daily life.
I meet a lot of people in Jiu Jitsu, so I meet a lot of friends, run to different places.
It really makes me happy and makes me able to relax more with the stress from work and stuff like that.
Pretty cool.
I will not quit for Jiu Jitsu, either what happens, because it's part of me now.
I want to give back to the community once I'm older and maybe start an old club.
We'll see in the future.
Hey, my name is Yambaso. I'm 25 years old.
I train and live in Frankfurt, Germany. I'm from the Ennis Brotherhood team.
I train for around six years and my goals are I want to have a big academy one day,
have a lot of students, good guys, good competitors.
I want to win also the major tournaments, especially as a black belt.
The European Pan Ams, the World Championship, that's my main goal.
Jiu Jitsu gave me a lot.
Before Jiu Jitsu I had a very crazy life.
I was doing a lot of bad decisions and Jiu Jitsu gave me a kind of a routine
and showed me the cruel side of the life.
Everything that you get, you have to earn.
So I learned a lot from Jiu Jitsu. Jiu Jitsu gave me a lot.
I can now teach to my students. I can now get money with it.
I love what I do. Thank you Jiu Jitsu. I can do it.
Thank you Jiu Jitsu.
Thank you Jiu Jitsu.
Thank you Jiu Jitsu.
Thank you Jiu Jitsu.
Thank you.
