My mother is 90 years old. We walked in here today. She was crying. She was depressed.
And soon as she went into line VR, she was armed. She was dancing. She was immersive. She was happy.
I think it has a very powerful mind-body experience.
I love you.
Thank you, ladies and gentlemen.
I think what mind VR is doing for the elderly is amazing. And VR completely changes that.
It breaks down the doors. It allows them to go to places that they've been to before
and more importantly places that they never got to go to in their life.
Smiles are faces. Weep only smiles are faces. Smiles are faces. Weep only smiles are faces.
Regardless of how independent they can function, they're not in total control.
So what I realized today in watching them do this is it gave them a sense of control
about where they were going to go, what they were going to do. And that's a very, very powerful thing.
When they maybe not weren't able to do this in their life outside of here. So I think it's fabulous.
That is so fun. Oh my God. That's wonderful.
Oh, I think it will be an incredible adjunct to up this kind of place. Really. It just hats off. Wonderful.
Interesting for me, I have Parkinson's and I have, unfortunately, I have a constant sense of dizziness
any time I'm up and awake. And I would have thought that participating in this, it would enhance the dizziness
and make it worse. But to my surprise, when I'm participating in viewing the virtual reality,
I don't have a sense of being as dizzy. And today, I've listened to the music
and I had virtually no sense of dizziness.
I'm a radiologist for 50 years. In radiology, you're involved in almost all parts of medicine.
But virtual reality is really related to neuro in the sense that those are experiences that those guys have
to paint on what it is, dementia or whatever, are exaggerated from what normal is.
And virtual reality, to me, has a chance to improve that.
Some of the guys with dementia have a problem with orientation.
Whether it's orientation in the day, right where they are, or it's in time.
So they may be in time or in space that they have a problem.
And with this, you have the ability to let them experience either space or time a little differently.
So I think its potential is great. I see this really going well.
