Hey everybody, Jip Swindle here with Shortcuts, helping you get the most out of your Christian
life with the least amount of effort.
Boy I'm excited to tell you about our latest product innovation.
This weekend we've shown you the No Effort Discipleship Tool, the word up.
We've also shown you the Prayer Timer Primer 2000 Turbo, so you've got all these great
tools at your disposal to play the part of the perfect Christian.
But you've got to be wondering, what good does all this do if I never use it?
Friends, wonder no longer.
We've bundled all these products into one convenient package, introducing the Shortcuts
Survival Kit.
Just like Total Christian obedience in one travel size case, this classic stylish canvas
carry on has it all and includes a checklist to help you mark off the things you've already
done.
After all, who wants to pray twice in one day?
And now, oh this is too good to be true, but if you act now, we'll throw in seriously
stretchy putty.
We all have a pretty good idea about how God's word says we should behave, but with
seriously stretchy putty, we can take the truth, stretch it, bend it, twist it, make
it anything we want, until we can behave any way we want.
Outstanding!
This is great for parties!
Oh man, it's 10 o'clock.
I know the vibe it tells me that I should obey my parents, be humble and tell me that
hey, I'm having a good time, and I think if they knew a good time I was having, they
would let me stay a little bit longer.
Maybe it'll be alright if I stretch the truth for a time until about 10.30, maybe even 11.
Great for tests!
Alright class, this is kind of a short test, need you to put your books up, get your pencils
out, keep your eyes on your own paper.
What test?
Dude, I totally forgot about the history test today.
Let's see, thou shalt not steal.
I mean I know the Bible tells me that I shouldn't cheat, and that I shouldn't steal, nor should
I lie that these answers are really mine.
Even though I forgot to study, I did listen to class, and I did take good notes, so really
I'm just going to be checking my work.
Man, I can't wait to try this.
The lines are open, let's take some calls.
Hey, Jip, Pitfall Jones here.
Hey man, I think you're missing the heart of the matter here.
We don't just follow some rules so we can check them off of a checklist, that's legalism.
Instead, we want to live lives that are honoring and glorifying to God because He transformed
us from the inside out.
You don't bend and stretch the truth just to see how far you can go and to do what you
want to do, nor do you see how close you can get to sin without actually sinning.
That's a bad idea man, and you're missing the treasure.
It looks like we're out of time.
Hey, I'm Jip Swindle, signing off.
