Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Stanley House.
Isn't this beautiful?
Isn't this about the nicest thing you've been to today?
We are gathered here today to celebrate one of life's greatest moments, the joining of
hearts between Kaylee Britsfield and Mason Mersky.
For them, out of the routine of ordinary life, the extraordinary has happened.
They met each other, they fell in love, are sharing it with their wedding today.
Romance is fun, but true love is something far more, and it is their desire to love each
other for life, and that is what we are celebrating here today.
Listen, we've come an awful long way over the years, folks.
I've known this little girl since she was about this big, and I've known this guy since
he still had pimples.
They've been really good friends, but a lot of things have changed over the years, a lot
of good things have happened.
It's very cool that today, somebody who builds vehicles can marry a nurse.
These are two of the kindest, most loving people I think I've ever come to know, and
they didn't come there by accident.
They were raised by parents of such warmth and dedication to their children.
It was inevitable, but the two of you see here today would be the wonderful people.
I, Mason Mersky, take you, Keeley Brinsfield, to be my wife.
I, Keeley Brinsfield, take you, Mason Mersky, to be my husband.
My partner in life, I want your love, I will cherish our friendship, and love you today,
tomorrow, and forever, I will trust you and honor you, I will laugh with you and cry with
you, I will love you faithfully, through the best and the worst, through the difficult
and the easy, whatever may come, I will always be there, as I have given you my hand to hold,
so I give you my life to keep.
I pronounce you husband and wife, you may kiss the bride.
About 16 years ago, I met Mason in my first gay class, and I never knew that it would
end up as a friendship that is today.
There's definitely been a lot of ups and downs in our lives, from watching each other graduate,
watching him sitting in a hospital bed, trying to remember simple words.
My wife has definitely been a roller coaster, and I don't see us getting off anytime soon.
Now, onto why we are here today, Keeley and Mason.
I think I first heard about Keeley in middle school.
To this day, one of Mason's biggest accomplishments was stealing Keeley from one of his best friends.
Throughout the relationship, I can see there is something special.
This was a truly special girl to him.
I remember one time filling up multiple balloons to put in our car to help ask her to prom.
I can tell that there was a love that was growing throughout the years.
I think Dr. Seuss said it best when he said, you know you're in love when you can't fall
asleep, because reality is finally better than your dreams.
No matter what life throws your way, let the love that's bound you together make you strong,
and there will be no obstacle you can't overcome.
Here's a glass to Keeley and Mason, here's to love, laughter, and a happily ever after.
I love you both.
We would like to thank everyone in this room for being in our lives and supporting us,
and we know every single person in this room has touched us at some point.
We'd also like to thank our parents for giving two kids everything they needed.
They've always believed in our dreams.
They never told us anything's impossible.
They're our closest friends, the ones that are sitting to the left and to the right.
We thank them for everything they've given us in these past years, and we hope to give
it right back to them.
