Ashley was supposed to be meeting with softball recruiters and you know all of that changed
and just you know those few words your daughter has cancer.
I think it is absolutely phenomenal what Karla has done with Ashley.
Just hearing what she's been through and seeing how many people she's touched and that this
many people want to get together and help someone shows you a lot about who she is as a person.
The oddest thing is that the world passes you by.
It's like you are stuck in some type of time warp and everything else goes on you know.
I watched the other girls having their singer portraits.
I know I watched, sorry.
I watched the girls in the softball field.
And I wanted so badly for my daughter to be there.
But God has a bigger plan.
I wanted to bring a whole bunch of different photographers in our community together and
be able to use our talents and gifts that we have to be able to give people images and
pictures and also that using that being able to raise money for Ashley and her family for their medical bills.
Use beauty in a simple way.
Well when I first walked in I had tears in my eyes.
Just seeing all the people that were volunteering and here to support me like wanted to help.
It means a lot.
I found my way to your heart.
If you fell in and in this place I'd find rest for my bones.
You have to learn to find that one piece of good.
You know if it's raining outside look for the rainbow.
If a door closes don't stare at the door because it's closed.
But if you're focusing on that door that is closed you won't have the opportunity to find that door that is opening.
And if for some reason if that open door is not somewhere else then build a door.
There were many times that I would blog about you know standing there looking out the window with children.
Wondering how many parents had stood there before me and how many would stand there after me.
And one of the things that I hope that I can do is that I can make a difference for anybody that has to stand there later.
God is young as I used to be.
The outpouring of love and support is just amazing.
I've never felt like thank you can never be big enough you know.
How can I say thank you that it's enough.
Ashley I want you to be so happy.
I want you to share your story with all those people that come to know you will be so they'll be changed.
They will see life differently because of how you say things.
I just want you to know that I'm so thankful for you.
Because you have blessed me.
I want to be an inspirational speaker and I want to write a book.
I'm hoping that this will kick off and maybe they'll start being annual.
I hope faith and foes for a cure and maybe I can start volunteering instead of being the one in the spotlight.
I just want to say thank you thank you thank you.
I can't say thank you enough.
