I've been an artist for as long as I can remember.
I enjoy expressing myself through color, but I also love the meticulous, fine detail of
doing very intricate work.
My inspirations just come organically, you know, they aren't contrived.
I might get an idea of something in my head, but I may not know where to go with it.
So I will just hold it within myself and just allow it to develop and over time it blossoms.
Being an artist is very challenging in today's society and it's very easy to be detoured
and be discouraged and I've gone through that myself.
I think the biggest advice that I can give to a young artist is finding people who will
support you, surrounding yourself with a good community of people and developing the perseverance
within yourself too, because you may not always have those people around you, but if you develop
the perseverance within yourself when they aren't there, you can push yourself too.
I believe a successful artist is someone who just allows their soul to express itself freely.
So they aren't taken up with what other people say they should do, what society says, you
know, is a successful artist.
As long as you are allowing yourself to create from who you are as an individual, I believe
that's a successful artist.
I was going through a very rough time period in my life and my sister introduced me to Hannah
as a form of healing.
She's a therapist so she knows all these different avenues you can take.
So knowing my artistic side, she introduced me to Hannah and I practiced it for a while
but not as consistently as I do now.
I put it down for a few years and only recently picked it back up because of how it made me
feel and how it makes other people feel when I give them designs.
So I started researching it online, I learned how to mix my own pace using safe and natural
ingredients, I learned how to apply Hannah and just having a daily practice with the
Hannah helped me to really hone the skill.
Hannah saved me and it healed me too, you know, it really gives me a lot of joy sharing
the art of Hannah with other people.
It fills me completely as an artist.
My name is Sophia and in a big box of crayons, I would be sunshine yellow.
