The fight of women where my personal struggle is a daily struggle in the street
at the university
It's a struggle of every day of every minute. I am every time forced to convince my
my comrades in class
that we are not inferior, that we have the same skills
Because they refuse to see for example a militant woman
who is active, who refuses, who is in his opinion on what is going on
etc. He refuses to see that even in the street for example
women, this problem of
sexual harassment or of drag
that suffer
that suffer the girls, the young girls, the young and the less young
that suffer daily
men in Morocco allow themselves
allow themselves to say what they want, what they want on a woman, to insult her, to stop her
directly. So it's a
practically daily struggle
and in a week in which there are confrontations
of everyday with a machoist mentality, with a masculine mentality
In my militant life
there are still things that have been done, things have changed
on the issue of freedom, despite the obstacles that we currently have, despite the risks of return in the back
there are still things that have progressed, so thanks to the participation of everyone, of everyone, of the Democrats
in this struggle for the rights
this march of freedom that currently exists, it was part of our dreams and there are years
so these are things that have been realized. So the fact of changing nothing, even the small things that have changed
for me it is important that there is no longer the right to obey
from wife to wife
it is something that was very humiliating to see it in the text of the law, to say that the woman
in the law is forced to obey her husband
I think that's the fact that they change, that they are no longer in the law
it's a bit of things that make
realize a bit of our dreams
it's true that when you put that in front of all the dreams that we had
in front of everything that we hoped to realize, it's not that big
and we still have a lot to do
the results do not feel at the height of everything that has been done
because it's been years, since the independence already
the woman has created these rights
she has not stopped creating these rights by all means
and we get to the end to give her this resemblance
this resemblance of change, it's not a change
neither at the legislative level, that is to say written laws, texts, etc
nor at the level of reality
in my opinion, the problem in companies like that
it's not the laws, no
it's the mentality
more than the laws
because if we don't change the mentality
the laws will not be applied
in my opinion, we have to do like in Turkey in the beginning of the century
we have to separate, separate the religion of the state
because our biggest problem comes unfortunately
not from religion, but from the exploitation of religion
In 2014
there was a ban on indigenous peoples
who were used to indigenous peoples
and who came to this group of researchers
who, of course, were called indigenous peoples
it's positive
because we believe that this is a non-aggressive act
in terms of women's rights
Next year, three months, the duty of the community
of indigenous peoples
In everyday life, people's mentality doesn't change with the laws.
There are many things.
Especially when it comes to the economic conditions of women.
For example, the obligation to give women the right to divorce
if their husband decides to marry another woman.
If the woman doesn't have the means to live alone,
if she doesn't have work, if she doesn't have housing,
if she lives thanks to the money from her husband,
this law will not change women's lives.
Accept that your husband marries another woman
only to stay at home, to live without you, with his money,
since there are no other alternatives,
there are no other means of independence
to make this decision on its own.
So, the change in the law is true.
It's a good thing.
But first, it hasn't responded to all the demands we want.
There is always a lot of discrimination in this law.
And above all, things that have come,
that are new, that are positive, are not applicable.
But a big problem of application is also in terms of tribunals.
There is a very angry mentality of judges
who are unable to take into account the positive aspects,
the advancement of this law in a few points,
and who always interpret the taxes of the law in a very angry and very regretful way.
In favor of the husband, in favor of the society as they think,
in favor of the mentalities,
who are still very misogynistic, very macho,
in the Moroccan society.
Above all, the law, and this is a big weak point of the law,
of the new code of the family,
is that it gives a great margin to the judges.
Things are not specified in the law.
They always leave the margin to the judge's judgment.
Is that how it is?
So since the judges are not formed as they should be,
and since they are always regretful with this mentality,
they only go towards the lowest and most negative interpretation of the law.
The improvement of the situation of the woman
must first go through the change of its economic and social situation,
through its access, its free access to education,
free access to health, free access to the employment market.
So these are things of this kind that the situation of the woman will be able to improve.
In addition, of course, laws,
despite the fact that they present the current law of the Moudouane,
present a lot of limits,
but changes must essentially go through the change
of the situation experienced, affected, everyday women.
We must change the situation of the women, the women, the men,
and everything else, but change the situation of the women.
It is strange that in the 21st century,
we are still living in the past,
in the past, in the present,
but change the situation of the women.
Thank you.
Thank you.
