Y'all this is Reddy King, and this is Delamar, and we are RDS!
You have also been labelled as one of the positive ambassadors which is really important for
Dr. Meza. Why are you doing that? Well, RDS does music to make people enjoy themselves, and we do
that specifically. We're from a dark background, as most dance artists are. You know, we're coming
from waterhouse, you know, very violent, get to a hardcore, grimy community, you know. I mean,
and we chose to, you know, do something positive, to lift up people's spirits. So when I come,
at a party, and I feel down, I have a bad work week. You know, you can get some RDS to listen to.
We consider our music to be aerobics music, so, you know, music that can work out to them,
and build our vibes to them, make love to them. You know, I mean, we'll do them something there.
So, I sweat music we make, you see me? So, we do that purposefully because, you know, we don't
choose the part of singing violent songs and badminton. We can't do it, of course, but we choose
not to do that, you know, because we want people to look at it and say, yes, those are guys that,
you know, want to leave a mark, a positive mark, say those are guys that came and,
you know, made people enjoy themselves. And in a way, we're doing a social service because,
you know, I mean, when you can actually leave for a person's spirit with your music, you know,
that's a big thing, you know, you're helping people's minds as well, not just their bodies.
Of course, it really is. And it's important for Jamaica as well, because there have been a lot of
negative stereotypes and that sort of thing about the island. So it's important that you guys are
bringing the whole nation up. So we applaud you for that, absolutely.
You said, you know, the music has energy. It really does for working out, not just working
out, but dancing as well. So talk to me about the dancing culture in Jamaica.
Well, the dancing culture in Jamaica is very, is very wonderful. I mean, you know,
you have a Wally Paraty circle, man, and lift it, you know, and artists, we just take it to
another level. I mean, when we do our songs, we basically go into the studio and we're on the
streets, you know, and soak up the culture and see what they are doing in the streets and come back
into the studio. We have vibes there, put it in our music, and then...
