I think jazz is the party, it's the joy, it's the improvisation, the rhythm, this relegation.
I think this name, everything is jazz, perfect for this festival.
The title of my CD is Drama and Jazz, precisely because of that.
Because it's rhythm and feeling, it's party and feeling, it's music and feeling.
I think jazz would be the organ of music.
The name, everything is jazz, is a big metaphor, everything is jazz, jazz is something that always fits, improvisation is something that always fits.
Jazz is a very good name to incorporate everything, just like jazz incorporated everything.
For me jazz is heavy on improvisation.
And when you have improvisation in any kind of music, for me that adds to the element of jazz,
because jazz was one of the first forms of music to emphasize on improvisation.
Jazz is influenced in lots of different music, it has a profound influence in lots of different styles and genres.
Jazz is an animal that eats everything and grows, grows, grows and changes, changes shape.
Jazz is something very open, that doesn't have borders.
I think the story I told today in the middle of the stage, telling the story of the new boss influenced by jazz,
then the new boss influencing jazz, and the whole world influences itself,
I think it's very healthy to have this kind of promiscuity that I call musical promiscuity,
that generates very cool things, generates a meeting with different plates, with different musicians.
This festival, when it comes to diversity, you always open doors,
and the audience will understand different universes, not only jazz universes,
more traditional, but also artists who listen, who can occasionally sing jazz.
It was very beautiful, I brought my culture, my work and I showed it to a lot of people,
everyone actually liked it, and other people who presented themselves,
like jazz music, really mixing, I loved it.
The festival is all about jazz, because we're just happy to be here,
because we love that improvisational concert you guys are putting on.
Brazil has such a rich history and tradition in music,
this energy could really feel the energy that people were giving off,
they would play a song, and if people knew it, they were all singing along,
and that doesn't really happen that much in New York, or anywhere else I've ever played.
To be able to resonate with the audience here, it was something indescribable,
it was very good, wonderful, knowing that people who have a pure taste of music
made sense for them, the work of us.
For me it's unforgettable, to be a beautiful audience,
not just the one who was here on the square, on the street,
everyone sitting on the wall, sitting on the wall,
and the scenery outside is beautiful, with black-eyed eyes,
and everyone together, with all the jokes, and the band passing by,
and all this dialogue with the whole city at the same time,
I will never forget it.
Everything here, everything really, I guess.
Thank you.
