Nau, we've got a special, um, little special performance here from a team that are doing pretty amazing things.
Now you're going to have to excuse my phone, but we've got this thing here that we've written down.
We really want to read it out because it means a lot to us and a lot to cheerleading New Zealand as well.
So, here we go.
All right, so coming up next is a team which is going to show you that for some students there are no limitations to what they're able to achieve.
Now this team is for adaptive athletes.
They're giving cheerleading a go for the first time ever, and this is the first time they're going to compete today here at Chair Factor 2016.
Now this team has only been together for a short time, but today they want to show you what they've already learned.
There is a range of abilities and anything they perform today is a huge achievement.
So we want to be loud, we want to cheer them on, we really want to support these guys, okay?
They've got students aged from 12 to 27 years of age.
I just said age twice.
All right, they train at Pakeranga College every Thursday after school, and the team is coached by Jordan,
who is a teacher for a special needs students and a Year 13 student.
Alyssa helps out also.
Now this team would not exist at all without the help of Pacific cheerleaders.
So a big cheer to Pacific cheer, they've helped all the way through this program and without them,
the program just wouldn't have been able to be possible.
So a big huge thanks to Pacific cheer and of course the coach Ashley, who's backstage with the team right now.
Now they also want to thank Chair Factor for allowing them to compete here today,
for giving them this opportunity that they would otherwise not have, which is pretty blem and cool.
And yeah, just giving them the chance to be included in the sport, which is very exciting.
So I did it, I got through it.
Using a phone like this is really hard when you're shaking and stuff.
But please guys, give a huge big warm welcome to the team from Pakeranga College.
All right, you guys, you're in your positions.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Guys, this is the first for New Zealand here to have an adaptive athlete team performing at a cheerleague competition.
This is amazing. No limits to cheerleading, no limits to life, guys.
So Pacific Chair and Ashley in Pakeranga College. Super exciting stuff.
There we go. You guys all want to line up and align and we'll present you with their medals.
That's nice, obviously.
All right, and do you guys want to jump on a huddle now?
We're going to jump on a huddle and we'll get a group photo of you all.
How proud are you guys feeling? You guys were amazing.
A couple of you want to bend down and we'll get a big group photo with your medals and stuff.
There we go. The photographer's here. Get out of the swing.
Thank you.
