Exactly. And now I will give you the floor to Walter, who will tell you about the main points of this event. Thank you Walter.
Thank you all, and for me it is truly an honour to be here. I would like to invite everyone on stage, all cyclists, all those of the blue hour, who have helped us to make this event.
Applause
So, the idea was very simple. We imagined, after 25 years, to restore to the Borssellino family an agenda, an agenda that is on the way to Italy.
A civil agenda, full of signs, full of names and cognoms. We imagined to give it back with a sincere means, which is the bicycle.
Because in the bicycle you have to do the climb, the rain you have to take and the sun you have to take.
So, we made this trip, we started on June 25, the last day with which Paolo Borssellino made the last public speech and we did it.
We arrived on July 18 at Palermo, Punto Ali, to give this particular agenda to Salvador.
What to say, we also made it into another miracle. We started a parallel project.
So, thanks to Biondillo and Balzano, two writers from Milan, one who won the first championship, our dear friend Biondillo, we have the Fettrinelli.
You come on June 15, to publish a book, which is called The Agenda Ritrovata, where seven writers throughout the journey, throughout Italy,
wrote not so much what they did that day, but what happened in these 25 years, what did they think, what arguments were taken.
With their ability to write, their beauty, they made this book. For us it was a wonderful gift.
Now, I would call the four cyclists who did the whole road, to give me the agenda, and I can finally give it to Salvador.
Ivan, Matteo, Enzo and Francesco.
Let me see the signatures of the common people who have gathered.
Before I give the microphone to Salvador, because then it is clear, when he speaks, we will never be able to say a word.
A few journalists have asked me, what is the emotional moment, what is the synthesis of this journey? I have to say one thing, there have been many, but before, while I sat there,
on that sidewalk, I came to mind what I would like to honestly say.
In this journey we have met the missing family, it has been a wonderful experience.
So I want to tell you, it is nice to meet you, we also break this barrier, so the family of the victims of mafia have been treated a little bit from afar, a little with respect.
But let's go to meet them, in my opinion it pleases them, it is beautiful, they have a lot of things to tell us. I really thank Gianluca, Lucia.
The missing family has really taught me a piece of my life, thank you.
I don't know where I am, I saw you first.
No, I only have two words to tell you, when these boys, for me they are all boys, I can afford it at 75 years old,
they came to tell me about this initiative they wanted to carry forward, why I accepted to do with them this initiative,
because on the basis of their association I saw this sign, a arrow that indicates a circle, and I have already seen this sign.
I have already seen it on the agenda of Paolo, not the red agenda, unfortunately there is no more.
We do not know what Paolo wrote on that agenda, even if we can imagine it, otherwise they would not have taken it away.
But this sign, I saw it on a small agenda of Paolo, the gray agenda we call it.
The one on which Paolo signed everything he did during the day, he signed it immediately, if he took an airplane,
he signed an airplane, if he went to prison and a jail to interrogate the mafios,
or if he collaborated with the justice, he would do it in the stands.
If he took it in the gutters, he would do it in a box with a antenna on top.
And then there was this sign, we did not know what it meant.
Diego Cavalliero said it, one of his substitutes to Marzala,
to whom Paolo went to baptize his son in the last week of his life,
the week before he was killed.
Paolo had carried the agenda with him, and he was compiling it in the evening.
Diego saw this sign and asked him what it meant.
Paolo told him that he was doing that sign when he was going to find our mother,
or when he was calling our mother.
That day, on July 19, Paolo went to find our mother.
This circle, this arrow represented him, and Diego said that with that circle he represented a nid.
Paolo, when he went to find his mother, when he came here in Viedemeli,
on those days our mother was here in Viedemeli,
for Paolo it was like going back to the nid, because Paolo had a very deep relationship with our mother.
So think about it, if that evening, if it had been the day on which they stopped his life,
Paolo, that day, on that page that remained white, would have marked a arrow that indicated a circle.
Paolo, who went back to the nid.
Paolo, that day, went back to the nid.
But on this road, in the shadow of a car, it should not have been.
On this road, where he said, in front of that gate, the mafiosi, who are not only the mafiosi,
but who, let's say, had intercepted your phone and heard Paolo saying,
mother, get ready, I will come to pick you up at five.
Take the car away, with which they had occupied the place, in front of this gate,
and put another car, which during the night, of the mafiosi,
is another character that Spatuzza says he did not know, so he was not a mafiosi.
It was certainly a day of service. Paolo said,
when they will kill me, it will be the mafia to kill me,
but it will not be the mafia to have wanted my death.
Here, that page, that agenda, unfortunately that day, remained white.
Paolo, when he went back to the nid, was killed.
For this, when I saw that sign, I decided, I chose to go with these guys,
and then, not being able to follow their pace on the bike,
I tried it for several sets, but they were too fast for me.
And then I entrusted my agenda to them, and also my heart.
And for this, they have taken along all the roads of Italy,
and for this, perhaps, a little more tired,
because there was my heart that was traveling with you.
Here, Salvador Abollate, on June 25, gave me this agenda.
On the way to Italy, and I officially here in front of everyone, I give it to you.
Thank you very much.
Thank you very much.
So, together, the Stafetto Cycle organized by Lora Blue,
I would like to welcome, here in Via da Melio,
Renzo Castagna, of the Golden Gold Association of the Athletic Value.
Renzo Castagna is a world champion, in 1954,
of what Patinaggio Sorotelle does.
Hello, Renzo. He brings us the greetings of Giovanni Malagò,
the president of the CONI, who, in fact, wanted to send his message
for this initiative, for the Stafetto Cycle and the found agenda.
The message of Malagò is entitled,
Greetings for the found agenda of Paolo Bossellino.
Sport is not made up, thanks, and it is close to all the initiatives
that support legality, both in race and abroad,
who love sports practice, respect the rules,
and therefore cannot do less, to recognize the own tribute
to those who spent their own life for justice.
Paolo Bossellino has never made it.
It is for me a great honor to greet this initiative.
I also want to express my gratitude to all those who made
this long and splendid Stafetto Cycle possible.
The journey through Italy leaves a very strong mark.
It is necessary to remember a man who, in a very difficult period
of national history, has been able to maintain,
even if at a low price, in touch with the principles
for which he fought.
Our world has been close to the found agenda
through the testimonial of the medals from Oloar Valor Atletico,
who have followed, step after step, the long journey
that today, in the 25-year long journey
in which Paolo Bossellino, the man of his escort,
has lost his life, reaches Palermo.
I bow in a warm hug to Salvatore Bossellino,
the creator of this initiative, who, like the brother,
does not surrender and seeks, also for all of us,
together with us, truth and justice.
Giovanni Malago.
Here we, as the red agenda movement, through Salvatore,
would like to give some targets to remember
precisely this event of the Stafetto Cycle,
the found agenda, just to thank all cyclists
and all those who have made this event possible,
really an event.
This is for the president of the national association
of Walter Baboni.
For Walter.
Thank you.
The motivation with which Salvatore,
the red agenda movement, gives to Walter,
this target is the following.
To have the idea and organized the Stafetto Cycle,
which has brought the red agenda movement to the best.
Thank you Walter.
Thank you all.
Now we have a series of targets,
which have a similar motivation,
which wants to remember, which wants to say
what was the commitment, with the heart,
for this event.
The motivation is the following.
To have brought the red agenda movement to the best,
pedaling with the legs,
but above all with the heart.
Ivan Colombo.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Francesco Ricci.
Thank you.
Rita Pelusio.
Thank you.
Matteo Picchetti de Lillo.
Thank you.
Enzo Bernasconi.
Thank you.
Mario Bragueri.
Thank you.
Walter Palagonia.
Now let's give a few targets
for some people who have made it possible,
specifically and materially,
the implementation of this event
and the motivation is the following.
To have brought the red agenda movement
to the best,
Gandolfo David.
Thank you.
Ivano De Pinto.
Thank you.
Alessandro Marzullo.
Thank you.
And finally, the last target,
which we are giving here in a symbolic way,
is for Marco Pallotto,
who is following us from home,
we thank him from the heart,
and from the heart,
the graphic that we have created,
all our graphics for the demonstrations,
of the various initiatives,
also the demonstration of today's commemoration.
Thank you very much.
This will bring him to Salvatore.
We give it to Alessandro Antonelli,
who has made us know this great person,
who despite living a serious family problem
for his sister who is very ill,
has accompanied us during the preparation
of the demonstrations, of the logo,
of all the rest.
For this we give it to Alessandro,
who has made us know this great person.
Thank you, Alessandro.
And finally, a special gift for Salvatore,
from Guido di Azenaro.
Please, Guido.
La Marema per Paolo.
An agenda rossa, La Marema per Paolo.
We have entrusted the cyclists
to bring this agenda,
which brings the signatures,
the thoughts of many people,
that we have met there in Marema,
where we are.
And they told me that I have to give it to you.
There is all the love of La Marema.
Thank you.
I will read it.
I will be happy to read it.
Because I will also remember that stage of La Marema,
which I also did in Bicilletta.
And I will be happy to remember
that splendid landscape of La Marema,
which, thank God, has been preserved.
Thank you.
As you know, the agenda found
was one of the most important initiatives of this year.
As a commitment, as a number of people involved,
also for the commitment behind it.
One of the most important initiatives,
organized by Dora Blue,
in collaboration with the agenda rossa movement.
There is another reality, another initiative,
that is alive here in Palermo.
And this year it was particularly alive.
Another initiative in which Salvador has invested
a lot of his energy, together with the organization
and the planning of the cycle staff.
And it is Paolo's house.
Many of you know this real-time via the window.
It is a house dedicated,
above all, a place for the children,
the teenagers of the neighborhood,
to be able to do after school,
to be together,
to be able to do computer courses.
And there are a whole series of people
who make it possible, in a voluntary way,
the implementation of the programs
that take place in this house.
Among these are Roberta Gattani,
Rosanna Melilli,
thanks to the acceptance you have heard before.
They are all people who make this place alive.
There are also people who, even though they are from Palermo,
give a contribution with their presence,
with all their might,
to the life of this house.
And for one of these people,
we have thought of a special task,
of thanksgiving, which is better.
For this I would like to call, please,
on stage, Riccardo Matera.
Because, Riccardo, even being away,
he lives in Sardinia,
he does everything possible to be alive,
to be able to stay close,
to be able to keep the project of the house of Paolo alive,
in all ways it can,
starting from Facebook,
where he takes care of the site of the house of Paolo,
gives light to all the initiatives that take place,
and a whole series of initiatives.
For this we would like to give,
with Salvador a gift of thanksgiving to Riccardo.
Thank you, Riccardo.
Riccardo Matera,
for his great heart,
and for the fundamental contribution
that he always gives
to the movement of the Red Agent,
and to the house of Paolo,
without the house of Paolo,
there are many volunteers who work in the house of Paolo,
many who work physically in the house of Paolo.
Riccardo Matera works from afar,
and I swear to you, without Riccardo Matera,
this house of Paolo,
for which we have not asked for any help
from the institutions,
for which we do not want help from the institutions,
we want to do everything on its own,
and without Riccardo Matera,
perhaps this house could not even live.
Thank you, Riccardo.
Thank you so much to the staff of Lora Bru.
Thank you for bringing us back to the Red Agent,
thank you so much.
Hello, Palermo.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
