It seems like only yesterday they put you in my arms.
I looked into your tiny eyes and promised you no harm.
In that moment I had known my dream had come to life, but little one you're now grown up
and soon to be a wife.
I'll look back upon those years of all our ups and downs, every triumph, every challenge
as you wear your wedding gown.
So on the day you marry, keep this feeling close in hand, my love will now go with you
as you wear your wedding band.
And though I miss that little one, our love will never end, I'm so very proud of who you
are, my daughter and my friends.
Today I give myself to you in marriage, I promise to encourage and respect you.
To laugh with you, pray for you, and to comfort you in times of sorrow and struggle.
Just to love you in good times and in bad, when life seems easy and when it seems hard.
I promise to cherish you and to always hold you in highest regard.
These things I promise you today are all the days of our lives.
Michelle I give you this ring, Andrew I give you this ring, as a symbol of my vows, with
all that I am, and all that I have, I honor you.
May God bless you and keep you, and what God has joined together, let no man separate.
Andrew, kiss your bride.
Michelle and I are two years apart.
When people ask if we're alike, we both instantly say, no, make a face like we're repulsed by
the other one, because it's just really easy for us to pick out our differences.
Michelle's the short one, the athletic one, she's the friendly one, she's the emotional
one, she's the one with the chipmunk voice, and the list can go on and on.
But we have even more similarities than differences that only get stronger when we're together.
Back in college, Michelle confessed to me that she had a crush on a boy and she wouldn't
tell me who.
I finally annoyed her so bad about who it was that she admitted she wasn't telling me
because she didn't want me to make fun of him.
After hearing that, I went back to my room and really started thinking about what she
said.
Why wouldn't she want me to make fun of him?
That's the kind of sisters that we are, we're each other's biggest critics, and two seconds
later, we're each other's biggest supporters.
She must really like this guy if she wants to protect him this much from our sarcastic
sister fights.
So then I went back in her room and promised not to make fun of whoever it was, and begged
her to tell me she finally said, it's because he has red hair.
On the bright side, Andrew is funny and nice and perfect for my sister in every way and
fits right into our family.
They make the perfect team, whether they're playing beer pong like one of the first nights
they met, playing kickball, dancing, or being chief's parents.
I have no doubt that they'll have a long and happy marriage.
Now let's please raise a glass to these newlyweds, my beautiful sister and her new husband,
love you very much.
Andrew and I have been friends for almost 25 years, one time in college, he enlisted
the help of a young co-worker of mine on my birthday to convince me that it was a good
idea to take shots of cottage cheese mixed with hot sauce.
That young co-worker was Michelle.
So fast forward 15 years of dating, and here we are.
That's not right.
Three years ago I had the privilege of being the best man at my brother's wedding, and
now I get to be the best man at my brother from another bungalow.
Cheers.
